Survey for new Mass Effect Game!

In all honesty, this isn't a good idea at all. You're asking for trouble if you're gonna allow the "Inmates" to run the "Asylum". BioWare made one of the Greatest Games Ever with the first game of this trilogy, and that was without ANY "fan input", they
became followers instead of leaders with their subsequent endeavours and it's no small wonder that they've taken much heat since then. This forum alone should give one a good barometer on how different everyone views what they should or shouldn't do, these
developers are a rare talent and should trust only their own aspirations as they did before EA took hold of the reins, they shouldn't need our input to craft another great game, unless of course commercial success has now truly surpassed their zest for artistic
integrity...Survey for new Mass Effect Game! :)

  5. You have a point but at the same time we the fans are the ones who criticize the games for certain things that it lacks. So shouldn't we let them know what we want in the new mass effect that made the first one so good? And i wouldn't say it was necessary
the consumers fault for the changes of the games. I would say its simply because the game became alot more popular so they wanted to simplify it alot more. For example, if you notice the rpg elements of the games decrease after every game.

For me personally, surveys are all about target marketing and nothing to with creative inspiration. Besides, BioWare have done numerous polls all ready, I find it puzzling that they're supposedly so out of touch with what the fans want at this point deep
into the new game's development time, if they're making things up as they go along here then the new game's likely to be what Schuey19 so eloquently calls "a steaming pile", this approach that they're taking tells me that this team lacks vision for the next
installment and that can't be good news for MASS Effect fans.

More likely, this "survey" is nothing more than their latest attempt at convincing the disgruntled ME fanbase that they "listen to the fans" instead of EA, and also to hide the fact that the game is probably a lot farther into development than they want
us to believe, that way they can keep a lid on spoilers to prevent the game from "becoming old before it's new", as ME3 in fact flirted with, and to make that "Big Splash" announcement as it inches closer to a release date. Say they are sincere about allowing
for fan input to shape this story, there's few "communities" more divided than this one and I can't see how they could find consensus among us without crafting a painting where the artist uses way too much paint and makes, well, "a steaming pile". You can't
please everyone, and whenever you think that you can it usually doesn't work out very well, for everyone...Survey for new Mass Effect Game! :)

  7. ^^Nail hit on the head with the survey being nothing more than them gathering information for target marketing. They're likely already well underway with the game's development... which means that no amount of 'feedback' is really going to change what they've
already created. All this survey is doing is gathering more info on what people like - dislike and that will decide what aspect(s) of the game they will focus on when they advertise.

Your feedback won't change the game's content... only how they advertise the game.
