    Surround Sound/HDR10

I want to have the video from my One X come through my TV (support for HDR10), but I would like the audio to come from my home theater receiver (surround sound). If I connect my Xbox through the receiver I get the surround sound but lose the ability to use
HDR10 because the receiver doesn't have that ability. I'm at loss as to how to do both of those things, although to me it seems like it should be fairly simple?

    Thanks.

    :)

Hello, I see you're having a problem, but maybe I can help. I have had relatively the same problem a few times, and it has been with two Vizio TVs and 1 scepter. I have a Sony 5.1 digital surround sound theater system, and I have seen this work properly.
The few times I fixed this, I was able to find what I needed under the advanced settings in the audio section of my TV. There you can select your audio output, and there are many selections depending upon your TV. I let a video or song play as I cycled through
the options, and when the proper option appeared the sound I wanted followed automatically. I hope this helps.

With surround sound, you will be able to actually hear things behind you. When properly set up, you will be able to pinpoint exactly where things are, even when they're not actually on the screen (IE: a car coming up to you from the rear driver's side will
actually be heard approaching from the left & behind). So yeah, it can definitely improve gameplay.

That said, stay away from those all in one HTiB systems. You will be much better off in the long run starting with a good receiver & decent speakers, then upgrading as you can. HTiB systems are basically throw aways.

I believe the 360 only supports 5.1 channels, but I could be wrong.

I grabbed this headset for my Xbox One, honestly its an amazing value and really comfortable. Plus it comes with a pre-paid code for Dolby Atmos!
