    Surround sound beta

I still cant use the surround beta option for Directv because the next day, TV wont work, xbox just says it took too long to load. This is in instant-on mode, running through HDMI to an HR24-500 DVR box. If I reboot, it will work again, but the wife
and daughter get too frustrated, so I just turned it off. I really wish they would fix this bug. Works fine without surround sound beta off, but I get no surround sound for TV Surround sound beta :(

    :)

  2. Xbox Dolby Digital support

No update on when this surround sound won't be in beta? My Dish Hopper doesn't seem to like this beta surround sound

    HDMI Audio Setting

Surround sound is only currently available from a DVD or Blue Ray. The Xbox One will not pass your cable surround sound through to your home theater receiver, it will only be stereo. There is a beta for this:

    Settings

    My Games & Apps

    TV & One guide

    Trouble Shooting

    Surround Sound Beta

    Hard to believe isn't it?

    headphones need addressed

How can it not be a support issue? The Beta Surround Sound is flawed and the Optical Surround Sound is missing Dolby completely. Who would fix it.

    MCE through XB1

Have you tried enabling the Surround Sound feature? Its in Settings and in probably in TV there is a troubleshooting section. Buried in there is a Surround Sound BETA feature that will take surround sound through the HDMI in. Sorry I cant remember the exact
way to navigate but you will find it.
