    Surround Sound Beta not working for Verizon FIOS


    1. I have Verizon FIOS and selected them as my provider during setup of Live TV but the "Verizon FIOS" automatic selection for the set-top box (STB) didn't work. I had to manually enter "Motorola" (the manufacturer of the FIOS STBs) to get it to power on/off,
    skip forward/backward, rewind/fast forward, etc.

    2. The Live TV Surround Sounds (Beta) feature only works on 1 channel (ABC) for my FIOS STB. When I change channels to other stations (NBC, CBS, etc.) they come across as stereo (left/right) only.

    3. I'm running the HDMI out of the XB1 to my Denon AVR-X4000 receiver.

    This post is really just to document that my setup isn't working with the Beta surround sound feature in hopes that it will be fixed in a future release.

    HDMI pass through

    Very disappointed in the pass-through feature. I use Verizon Fios and have problems recognizing the box and sometimes the sound drops and the picture starts blinking on and off. The One Menu is slow and more cumbersome than the Verizon Guide. Add no surround
    sound with pass-through and I find it useless. Really disappointing. I disconnected it.

    Xbox One Verizon Fios

    I have switched out HDMI cables, reset, turned off and on all systems involved but still get flickering in and out picture from the xbox one. I am using verizon fios. I initially had my Xbox hooked up to a Bose V35 surround sound system but tried it directly
    to the tv. No luck with that. Anyone who has a verizon fios box been able to get it to work?

    Well, after restarting the XB1 (for the 4th time) it suddenly started working. Glad it's working and I hope it keeps working. Surround Sound Beta not working for Verizon FIOS :)
