Supposedly has a Gigabit Ethernet Card?!?!

I have a Gigabit and my Xbox One is getting 92D and 18U. This is ridiculous.

Also forgot to mention, remember If your internet is faster then the HDD can write due to being busy or system I/O limitation then your speeds will reflect how fast those bits can be written. If i had to make an educated guess, your xbox is downloading
as fast as it can write that data to the hdd.

Looked at some xbox one tear-downs, they appear to use a seagate Momentus 5400.6 drive

THey are not a speed demon drive. here is a benchmark for the drive.

So I assuem thats the bottle neck.

 

Having similar issue. Noted on my Router that when the XBONE is idle it actually throttles down to a 10M/Full connection. Once powered up then it then changes to 1000M/Full. Quite frankly not sure why the hell they do that when you are wired.

What I do see is a degradation of the though put over time. At first I thought it was my router as it improved to 140Mb/s DL. My internet subscription is 150Mb/s so that seems reasonable with typical Ethernet and IP overhead. Over time it drops to 1/2
this amount and less. So I decided to try powering the XBONE down by holding the logo for 10 seconds so it was a complete shutdown. Powered up, lo and behold I got the 140Mb/s.

I am suspecting a memory leak in the OS as the issue since a hard reset "fixes" this.

GghostlyCrowd the MTU in this case is not relevant because 1500 is the IoT (everything and everybody)'s default. Jumbo frames have to be intentionally set and as you may have been trying to point out must be set for the entire path. Thus nobody should
be using jumbo frames as they will be cut apart at the first hop that is not supporting that causing huge performance issues.

Drives are not the issue either since your desktop or laptop has a SATA or NLSAS drive most likely very similar in performance to the drive used by MS in this case and your desktop/laptop is getting matching throughput when you run speedtest.net unless you
are wireless.

 

Let me just jump in here, Cat 6 is not required for a gigabit connection. I am Currently having a MAJOR issue with my XBox One, I have it connected to a Gigabit Modem with a Cat6 cable and I can't get a gigabit conection, I have "all your aformentioned"
ports open and have even tried DMZ.. A little background, I am an Network Administrator for Google, at a datacenter, I understand how all of this works... I am Jelous of our friend above who lives in a fiberhood, congrats bro, some day I too will live in
a fiberhood(still waiting on rainbow rabbit if you know what I mean). So care to tell me how to fix my "GIGABIT" issue? I'm able to connect my latop, PS4, and my DVR with the same cable I'm using to try to connect the X-One, the X-One is the only wone that
connects at 10/100 not Gigabit(1000).. taking suggestions. Especially since my X-One is a COD:AW edition and is practically new.
