Suppose to be Next Gen, why we not seeing 1080p in Games?

@MVG - ON top of everything, you're complaining because Call of Duty doesn't look good? A game that hasn't looked or even played good in years? If you're going to go and complain a game looks bad on next gen, then use an example of one besides Call of Duty.
Compare Battlefield, Assassins Creed, NBA 2k14. Compare some of the multiplatform games that the developers actually put the tiniest bit of effort into porting to next gen.

 

This 1080p / 60 FPS bickering that happens every single time when a multi plat game comes out is getting old.



I thought we were all in agreement that the PC won the specs department a long time ago?

 

@ DanteSparda, The thing is that power is 4 years old....using off the shelf PC hardware and entry level-midrange hardware at that. The minute these things went from super customized GPUs to Bonaire and Pitcarin the game changed. Now had these cards been
7890-7950+ we'd be having a different conversation, but you cannot start a "next generation" at the beginning of a GPU generation with low level cards from 2 generations ago.

Why do you keep blaming PC gamers for this argument when it is nothing to do with them.

 

"Darkstar ONE" is one of the few games on the XBox 360 to run at 1080p but there were many games with lower resolutions that looked better than it.

Look at "Ryse" and "Titanfall".

These games look stunning but they don't run at 1080p.

That matters at the end of the day is how it looks and plays.

Some people will spend their days clucking over resolutions and and frame rates on the internet while XBox ONE gamers will just keep on enjoying amazing games.

graphics, resolution, or FPS don't mean nothin. I'm still using an Atari 260. Anyone who doesn't think Atari games are still just as awesome as them dumb new kinda games are just dumb.

 

@Dante did you read the original post? I'm not just complaining about Ghosts, I'm complain to the fact that we are not getting our money worth for the console we've spent hundreds of pounds for, & yes if I'm going to spend £55 on a game for my Xbox One I
expect it to look bloody awesome, otherwise I wouldn't of got rid of my 360, I would of spent £40 instead

Don't get me wrong I love my Xbox One, but these days it's all about my the games and if it's not going to look nicer on next gen, I'm not going to waste my money getting it

 

"Ryse: Son Of Rome" looks the nicest of anything launched on either console.

As amazing as the "Titanfall" beta is to play... and as 1080p and 60FPS as "Forza 5" is, "Ryse: Son Of Rome" is in a league of it's own.

Most of the stuff available on the ONE really looks Next Gen especially if you go back to the 360.

"Ryse" just looks Next Gen all the way through.

So again if you've actually got games to play on your machine, it's how they look and play, regardless of how the internet tries to tell you to feel about it.

@Wilko Who exactly are these "non fanboys" you refer to because my brother (who pays absolutely no attention to gaming media) swore up and down Ryse was 1080p because it looked so good.

I guess The Order (again another sub 1080p game) doesn't look next gen either simply because its not in 1080p lmao. Mind you that both games look amazing. Maybe you should stop getting your info from SONY fanboys?

[/quote]Yep. Graphics and frame don't matter which is why you went out and spent $500 on an Xbox One right? Guess you might as well buy those multiplats on the 360. By your logic there's no reason to spend $500 to play one or two games. Why bother when the
price will drop by the time anything decent comes out? The resolution and fps excuse is getting old.

You don't have an XBox ONE and yesterday you admitted you don't even have a Playstation 4.

So I'm not really sure why you're running about the Microsoft forums trying to leave little poops for anyone enjoying themselves on the XBox ONE.

I suppose if it keeps you off the streets that's a good thing?

 

I am still waiting for 3D to be added to the X1. The current gen PS3 and 360 have 3d, so I am just waiting for the next gen systems to aquire 3d. Then I will purchase the X1. At that point I can trade in my PS3 because I really only use it for 3d and
a few exclusives.

 

^^ I use a Samsung BD player, because it is region-free, whereas my PS3 will only play Region A blu rays.

That's my point. I don't want multiple electronic devices. I already have the PS3 and 360. The PS3 is mainly for blu ray and 3d blu ray. I want the X1 to do everything. It does most everything I besides play 3D. So that means I would still have to
either keep my PS3 to play 3D blu ray 3d or get a 3d player. Just doesn't make sense having multiple electronics. I will wait until the X1 aquires 3d, THEN I will purchase it. At that point it will do everything I want it to do. The PS4 also doesn't have
3d blu ray yet. Hopefully these systems will get 3d soon.
