Suppose to be Next Gen, why we not seeing 1080p in Games?

How is XBL heads and shoulders above PSN? They don't seem all that different fro my experience. Except for Party chat of course.

The point is that nither next gen console don't not have next gen res. And 1080p is not next gen either.

i wasn't really interested before, but since it's 1080p@60fps then it must be good right???? we finally made to next-gen gaming, right?!?!

 

If Microsoft change course I will happily support them again, but at the moment they are shafting gamers with a sub par console and games, they are milking their fan base whilst serving themselves, that does not get my support Beast.

 

Head and shoulders was a bit much. Download speeds are much faster on XBL and I've encountered a lot less lag in the games I've played on both last gen consoles.

@Wilco the ONE is not a sub par console. Its pretty dang good and DR3 was pure fun. No PS4 exclusive that has come out has interested at all. That changes next month when Infamous(My most anticipated exclusive of either company) comes out. I also consider
what you consider MS biggest issues to be very small. Especially when you consider that these devices(or at least the most important parts) were built by what is as closed to slave labor as you can get. All electronics companies do terrible, terrible things.
If you really wanted to do what was right, you wouldn't support any of them.

both consoles.

 

I actually download games faster on PSN for some reason, I think XBL caps download speeds, I have a 120meg connection, I also get less lag on PSN games because they have more European servers than Microsoft, so for me PSN is actually the better service
whereas XBL is probably the better service for US gamers.

But the installation process and times are much better on XBOX360 than PS3, and Xbox consoles have cross game chat, the PS3 does not, but I believe PS4 does.

But at the end of the day I am a gamer and buy consoles for games, Sony make games consoles still, but Microsoft now make multimedia devices, hence my shift towards Sony at the moment.

And never forget what Microsoft tried to do with DRM amongst other things BEFORE their complete and utter U-Turn!

Asking what's next gen and including 1080p when 4K is on the horizon lol. Tbh neither system is next generation graphically but games are more than its pixel count. Its sad that games are being reduced to just that though.

 

1080p and 60fps do not matter.

The "PC Master Race" gamers are ruining the enjoyment and fun of being a gamer.

to see games coming out on Xbox One at 720p, like most I don't care about the TV package, yeah it's a good feature but surely games should come 1st not TV,

I paid £94.99 for my hardened edition of call of duty ghost and I feel robbed as it looks like the 360 version, who wants to waste money on a game if it doesn't look better? I no I won't be making that mistake again, MS really need to start listening to
us, us who buys there products, if they don't, there won't be an us

 

+1 to Dante....I could care less what games run at and i never will. The only thing that has ever mattered to me was if the game is fun and is not super buggy. Mass Effect,Dragon Age:Origins,Borderlands,KoA:Reckoning etc are some of my favorite games ever
and i honestly couldn't tell you what fps they run at and honestly don't care as they have gave me some of the best gaming hours of my life.

 

I could understand if we where talking about the 360 as you can pick one of these up for less than £80 but when your spending £400 + on a new nex gen console then a further £50 + on the game you expect it to look awesome and better than old gen otherwise
why upgrade?

 

^ Because there is more to graphics than 1080p and 60FPS. The difference doesn't matter. You read these PC first gamers who are very vocal and they make you think it matters, when in reality it doesn't.

You spend that much money to keep playing games. You spend that much money to move to next gen where EVERYTHING is better, not just the graphics. The power of a new generation of consoles offers so many enhancements. If I am throwing down money just to look
at something that's supposed to be pretty, I'd buy something besides a game console.

 

When you compare graphics across the PS4, X1, and PC. Does X1 look the worst? Sure, but is it like a "Oh my god, that's a HUGE difference!!!" graphics comparison? No. You have to really sit there and watch these comparisons and get into the nitty gritty
to really notice any difference between the X1, PS4, and PC versions of games.

Like, when you are sitting there and playing a video game what are you doing? Sitting there and examining every pixel and every single little detail in the game? No you're not. You're playing the game and having fun. When you're playing a damn good game
that really pulls you into the experience and you're just having an absolute blast with, do you seriously sit there and think to yourself "Man this game is fun, but I just can't enjoy it knowing that someone out there is playing this same game but just has
a little bit more detail in it that I will never even notice."
