Support for controllers in XBOX Game pass for PC

Controller support in game platforms are a real nuisance, thats why, normally, people insert games aquired from different platforms in steam.

But at XBOX game pass for PC, if you don't owl a Xbox controller, the support is terrible. I have a PS controller and can't play any games that need controller support; like The Surge 2, just by moving the character forward the camera automatically move
at the ceiling making a closeup of the character's (and he is not even hot kkkk).

A possibility is to let us insert the games in steam to enjoy their controller support, like I do with Epic.

Another is to really embrace the new Microsoft Xbox philosophy to diminish console borders and realize that PC gamers should be free to use any controller they want - PS controller, XBOX controller, Steam controller or even multilaser controller - to play
games in any PC platform for games, like Steam, Origin, Epic.

But if the controller I own continues to be a problem to acess games in game pass for PC, I will have to rethink maintain my subscription in the near future.

So I ask, Microsoft, is there a plan to improve different controller support than Xbox controller? Any of the suggestions I gave are possible?

To my knowledge the company no longer accepts support tickets as they are no longer in business.

Have you tried contacting the support group for the device. There would be more there that would have experience with the different devices being used with that controllers.

They do BUT you are mistaking the issue

Its not ms's issue if your games doesnt support a 3rd party controller

Because steam xbox etc are fully supported on games

Its upto the 3thirds party to write the drivers

Not MS or steam but the creators themselves

Thats what is required to get a ps controller working and yes sony wrote it that way and you have to use the 360 drivrr not a sony driver

How well its supported by your controller is dependent on how rhe Manufacturer writes the drivers

I can tell you gamepads work well as I gamed since the sidewinder days back in windows 3.1 days

With steam and xbox its simple steam just add the games to your profile in the steam app for non steam games .

As you saw ps4 requires extra programs along with steam so.its not just a xgu issue but how poorly sony supports pcs

And I used logitech ms sidewinders to flight sticks and thrustmasters

Yiu rarely ever need 3 different programs to run a controller only sony

Fyi the reaaon why sony is easy on steam is because sony relys on steam not windows to play their pc games as psn network isnt on pc but they distibute their sony playstation games on pc what do you expect

Sony to support games that wont make them money

You should.ask sony why they dont write drivrrs for non ps games

It's pretty much in the title. Game Pass games only work with Xbox One controllers but I would really like to sometimes use a PS4 controller or maybe 8Bitdo SNES controller (I don't know how third party wheel or flight controller support is but I am betting
it's not the best either). but you need to use workaround software that emulates Xinput devices.

this has been a feature on steam for a long time and you can even load custom profiles per game. it's a really necessary feature for PC games especially the broad genres featured on Game Pass.

There are a lot of features and fixes still needed on Game Pass PC but this is a really big one that needs to be addressed. I'm sure this is not a difficult issue to solve since games that do support many controllers on steam don't on the Game Pass versions.
