    Original Xbox 360 E74 error message- Solution

    If your Xbox 360 has failed because of the E74 error, you’ll see the following message on the screen when you turn on your Original Xbox 360 console:

    System Error. Contact Xbox Customer Support.
    E74

    If you see this error message, you must repair your console. The warranty period for the E74 error is three years from the original purchase date of the console. If the warranty period expires, you’ll have to pay for the repair.

    Hey there João VitorBordignon,

    Thanks for reaching out to the Forums community for advice on how to hopefully get your console to display on your television. I can totally understand how this could be somewhat puzzling. You had stated that you tried on your friend's TV and it worked,
    then it could be in fact your old TV. I would try another HDMI if you have not already or any of the steps outlined in our support page entitled

    Troubleshooting a blank TV screen or monitor while your Xbox One is on    .

    When you get the chance, give that page a review and let us know if any of those helped.

    Try performing the hard reset EXACTLY like this. Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
    the console.
