Super slow downloads on xbox one X

Recently upgraded my broadband to 500mbps, as I thought slow speeds on xbox one x was due to my broadband, but it wasn't. Currently downloading at 36kbps, not even 1mbps, there are no background apps or games open, nothing else apart from my phone using the WiFi. I've tried resetting the console, and that made it worse. Microsoft Store has been updating at less that 40kbps for hours and it's still at 0.0%

If you're connected through Wi-Fi, please consider connecting your console using wired connection because if there are several wireless signal around your house, it could overlap with the Wi-Fi frequency your console is connected to.

Does it also happen to any games you're trying to install? It may be specific to one game or item.

I will suggest ask about replace the console if you still in the 30 days, if not ask about to be serviced:

Are you wired or wireless? Try a wired connection. Your WiFi signal will be split between every device that connects via WiFi.

try restarting your router by unplugging the power from the wall outlet/socket for at least 5 minutes (while your router is off you might as well Power Cycle your Xbox by holding the power button for 10 seconds then unplugging the power lead from the wall
socket.

then plug the router back in and wait for it to fully initialise (all the lights solid green) then plug your Xbox back in and connect to the internet and live.

that will clear the caches in both the router and Xbox and will hopefully speed things up a bit.

As mentioned above, Try a wired connection to help with the download speeds, If that does not help and you are still experiencing slow download speeds your Internet Service Provider could be throttling your speeds for high bandwidth downloads
