    Super Resolution question for gaming

Hello, I have my original XBOX One connected to 1080P LG TV. So my TV has a setting called Super Resolution and what it does according to LG manual is it takes blurry images and sharpens them creating a clearer picture. By default it is set to Medium. I played around with this setting but see no difference between Low, Medium and High. I decided to switch this setting to Low, since I don't really believe in artificial picture enhancement with video games, Did I do the right thing or should this super resolution setting be set to it default Medium? I know that that this setting is not available on all TV's so may be a lot of you wont be familiar with it but any input will help.

    Thanks

    :)

you should turn it off along with all other fake enhancement features on your television. They are very low quality, and introduced more problems than they could potentially solve as well as introducing processing lag. A real studio will spend tens of thousands of dollars if not more to do things like motion interpolation that your TV uses a $50 piece of hardware for

You should set your TV the game mode to make sure that all beyond minimal processing is disabled

    What resolution is "super HD"?

1440p still outputs games at 4k

    Hey there,

Only a select amount of titles at the moment support native 1440p, and will be up to the developer if they choose to support that resolution. All other 4K content will continue to be rendered at 4K but will be super sampled to 1440p,
not down scaled. hope this clears up the question!

Is there any way to run fullscreen games in borderless mode?

Hi Manor. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

Thank you for posting on the Xbox Communities Forum. While many games offer a borderless full-screen mode, most do not let you choose the resolution in this made and base it off of your display's native resolution. The only workaround for this would be changing your Windows' settings to a higher resolution with VSR. Furthermore, games that natively support Super Sampling Anti-Aliasing (SSAA) do not require VSR, as SSAA works similarly to VSR.

Please reach back if you have further questions.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

    Xbox games resolution question

These new games are all HDR 4K so I imagine the original xbox one scales them down to 1080P?
