Super annoying Controller connectivity problem.

I have a extremely annoying issue with controllers on my X1X that is running insider. Couple of weeks a go a problem with the wireless controllers maintaining connectivity to the console surfaced. Every time either the console or controller turned off,
the controller loses connection to the console and requires connecting the controller to the console via USB cable to re-establish connection.. Wireless syncing does not work.

I have 2 controllers that exhibit the same behavior. I have confirmed that neither controller needs an update. Both are fully charged and only about 6-7 feet from the console. I have another X1S to which I have connected and never have any problems.

Another weird quirk is that the controller will turn on the console, but promptly loses connection once the console is on.

I am running insiders builds on the X1X, but not on the X1S.

As you can imagine this is frigging annoying. I have been resorting to using the Xbox App on my phone for regular navigation while watching content on the console.

I have filed a Bug report through the Feedback app.

Same Problem here. SUPER annoying. At least let the app remember Playback position!!

 

Sorry to hear that, I would also recommend getting on the Xbox Insiders subreddit
here and post about your problem to see if other users are affected as well.

 

yeah I posted there and got a response that it was a 'known issue' but I cannot find any thing listed anywhere in known issue reports. I am almost ready to bail out of insiders to see if it fixes it. That's how annoying it is.
