Hi

Read all good reviews but would like to hear from the community see what they think. Was wondering if the Online modes were any good as seen the game for 24 pound..

Thanks.

:)

No. The question I posed was 'is fallout 3 worth playing.' Nothing about NV.For someone like me who had not played 1 or 2 and came upon or was given this game-it is very much worth playing. He summed it up. At this point, I have played both and prefer 3
but NV has its good points-but bottom line, he answered the question I asked in a simple clear cut way.
Its not about comparing the two-no one will feel exactly the same about either. It is taking FO 3 on its own and recommending it or saying it sucked. All this extra could easily turn someone off of playing either and that would suck because
both are worth playing.
Except that's not at all what he's doing. Actually, that's not really what you're doing either
Bottom line is the story & the action IS better than any Fallout game ever MADE to date!!
That's not a comparison? Granted, he's not discussing the finer points of either game, but he's still making a comparison
rather than directly answering your question (which I and several others actually did when this thread began, and those responses seemed to suffice at the time). A direct response would've been, "Bottom line: you should play
Fallout 3/Fallout 3 is good because it has a great story and great action." I probably would've disagreed with the story part (even on its own merits), but still, he'd be judging
Fallout 3 within it's own realm in that case, and a further debate would've been on topic. Instead, he's judging
Fallout 3 as a Fallout game (as in, compared to the rest of the series), and that's going to bring an off topic debate
This pretty much is the most accurate and needed response.
And you're not just saying the response sufficed (although it doesn't really get the thread back on topic), you're agreeing with it;
you're saying that his opinion is the most accurate and contrary opinions are less accurate. That may not be a direct comparison, but you're still adding fuel to the fire by claiming it's a correct statement. And again, you're not saying that he's right
in his judgment of the game on its own merits (which would be on topic), you're saying he's right in his judgment of the game compared to the rest of the series (which would be off topic)

Look, you're entitled to your opinion, as is he and as am I and as is everyone else on this forum. And yes, this thread has gone off topic and into a
New Vegas vs. Fallout 3 debate for which I am partially to blame (although threads do go off topic). And am I directly answering your question now? No; I gave my straightforward response months ago and now I'm talking about something else.
But he's not reeling the discussion back in by any means either, and neither are you in some regards
If you even read the original post you'd know that 3 and NV are the only ones I played so I can't speak for all FO games. His enthusiasm would be enough to make me want to play vs a dissection of the games. Things do go off topic but occasionally its nice
to let someone know if you are throwing in a spoiler and such. Its not being done. You aren't really expressing any enthusiasm accept to say that NV was more of an RPG...which I can agree that with the faction choice it did have more in that area..but I was
asking about 3..how it got to NV I have no idea, but its funny I post 3 topics looking for answers on NV in the NV thread but somehow FO 3 has turned into a debate on NV. I actually had it back on topic but you seem to determined to not let the focus be on
3 which is kind of sad. I know I am not the last person to discover it and it would be nice for them to be able to come and get the answer I was looking for as well.It gets frustrating going through off topic stuff when looking for one piece of info but that
may just be me. I have seen several NV vs FO3 threads, but no comments from you there...but I digress, as I am still actively playing NV in the spirit of giving all games a fair shake.

Sunsetoverdrive is it any good.

It is probably the funniest game I have ever played. Its clever, never takes itself seriously and looks amazing. Online is a challenge but a great laugh with the right crowd. At 24 quid mate, its a bargin!!!!

One of the best, most fun games I've played in a long time.

At least 40-50 hours if you want to do everything & the first lot of story dlc has just come out, definitely worth it at that price.

I don't think you could go wrong for that price. It's a fun game with great graphics and lots to collect within the world. Being a massive Jet Set Radio fan, I couldn't help but notice the similarities. Subjectively speaking, it's not as good as the JSR
games, but nonetheless, a very enjoyable game.
