Same res means nothing to me if there isnt a good story

ur mistaken, i am on x1 exclusively, and there are many on this forum that don't blindly flock behind everything MS say or does as if it is a heavenly word.

the difference between you and me is that i call everyone on stuff, and don't hide behind my finger, and be like "if MS says Resolution/Fps don't matter" then yeahhhh it doesn't matter...if you really dont' care bout all that, then good for you and i respect
where you stand, but ppl on this forum should respect the other opinion as well.

That being said, i care about Res/FPS and no i don't wanna play on pc, but then again i care about playing scalebound, MCC and gears, but when i see a multiplat running less on X1, then i am alarmed, and the trend continues, and i am gonna call MS on their

@Wanarios...I believe in calling out for their stuff....but why do it here? MS aren't coming here to listen about resolution arguments. Suggest you call out their stuff in their suggestion forums, or with a careful and elaborate email or two to the xbox
team? After all, this particular forum is just an echo chamber and not really a conduit into xbox development.

 

@ burnin, i haven't started any thread here to bash on MS or anyone for the current X1 performance, but i find it unacceptable that whenever someone comes in complaining about a game running at 720 or 900, the whole community jump on him as he committed
the original sin, it is becoming either tip your hat to whatever MS exec says or your a bad person. this is brainwash and irritates me. Just like i and many ppl respect the opinion that says Res doesn't matter, i think everyone else should respect the opinion
that says res matters everyone paid for the system with their hard earned money and everyone is entitled of their opinion.

Whenever you see someone merely bringing up news about resolution, the entry gets deleted after the person gets hammered by the community.

whenever someone talks bout resolution everyone jumps on him that they are tired to hear about it, those ppl should just avoid the those threads if they don't care just like i avoid threads i really don't care about, but not try to silence everyone trying
to speak their mind.

Wow its crazy how we're allowed to have an opinion but if that opinion is that res/fps is not that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things, we're called blind fanboys etc...

 

i didn't call anyone fanboy, i just bluntly said that i respect that Res/Fps doesn't matter for the ppl who say it does not matter... But i have no problem calling blind fanboys ppl who try to silence the other opinion...

 

Or....you could just ignore the bs that both sides like to spew?? Just my opinion, but by participating in these arguments (in an echo chamber, mind you) nothing is being gained (or lost, for that matter)...just a bunch of needless chest thumping all around.

Guys...Lei said it best..If your having fun and you love your purchase than that's all that matters..this resolution talk is nothing more than banter to get you riled up as when has it ever mattered before? Mass Effect, Dragon Age:Origins, RDR, Borderlands
the list goes on and on all were awesome games of the previous gen and i could honestly not tell you what they ran at and don't care..it's the experience that the games gave you. That should be the focus as it always has been...

I can't wait to pick up an Xbox One and Ryse and eagerly await whatever games come out(like i did with my 360) and resolution is the last thing i care about.

The only reason i think i engage, is because i think ppl coming over and complaining about performance and disparity are frustrated with the situation and i kinda understand them...

mind you many ppl can't afford 2 consoles or they don't want to take the loss to sell and get something else.

And many i believe complain and really are angry cause they love the brand and they feel angry that it is not living up to the challenge...you can't imagine how many of the ppl complaining are actually the most loyal...

 

@ yellowJacket, if you haven't played tomb raider last gen, i strongly recommend that you pick it up, i finished it yesterday and its a great game

 

For anyone that may have skipped over some of the thread, this was meant to be resolution argument, or about the power of the consoles, I feel Randver summed up the topic best on page 4...

I know I'll feel great disappoint if The Division comes out, and they end up doing something like removing the characters animation of contextually closing car doors when in cover, just to add a few more pixels on the screen.

 

@Wanorios...Oh yea absolutely loved the Tomb Raider game..the new style really worked out for an excellent experience.

 

Threads like this only exist in order to spin what everyone already knows to be true. And that is that the...

X1 simply cannot keep a games frames per second up, nor its resonution at or near 1080p.

Hince the 'time slice' that nelson just 'threw out there' spoke volumes to consumers about how the x1 could not walk and chew gum at the same time. (figure of speech.)

Want to correct that? Then design and build an actual High Res, 1080p 60 FPS as the norm gaming console which can run apps if need be. Do it not, and the x1 will continue to fall by the wayside.

However, high resolution/fps games must take president. If a games NEEDS to run at lower frame rates/resolutions. Fine, but the hardwire/software MUST be able to do higher res/fps without crapping out for the duration of gameplay.

Runs IE? Apps? Tracking cookies so MS can bombard you with relivent advertising?

It just cant do 1080p at 60 or better fps eh! Seems tracking coockies, advertising. Anything but gaming took center stage in the X1.



Demand better, and they will endever to do better. Believe in, and help spin the spin, and all youll get in return is even more spin.
