I have found the game to be a lot harder then previous gameplay videos made it look. Im also finding the Subtle humor quite to my liking.

I'm not saying games that are twitch based or timing based are easy. I don't play fighters because you have a segment of that community that left me in awe at their speed and timing so I gave up on those 20 yrs ago.

The QTE's in Walking Dead aren't bad when compared to some games so I can live with those ( I played it on the PC and Vita just picked it up for the One so my opinion may change ;p).

My observations on SO were strictly to give people that may share my views on gameplay mechanics a heads up that this was different compared to others in the genre. I spent several hours playing the new Europa Universalis expansion yesterday which most of
the twitch crowd would hate. Different taste for different folks.

Hey GG, how many days did it take for this to download? Did deleting it and re-downloading sort your issue?

Randver you maybe need to stop trying to kill enemies and just work on your grinding for a bit.

It's not buttons for the sake of pushing them to help you feel interested.

Instead of "Push forwards to move" you have a bunch of tools for traversing the world, not just forwards and backwards but up and down as well.

Easiest way to do this is to try and get yourself on some of the big Power Lines that run along the street because that's a nice low pressure grind.

Experiment with moving forwards and backwards, using the X button to hang from the rails and get back up there.

You just want to try ignoring the enemies for a while and concentrate on grinding.

Even if it takes you a whole day to learn how to grind effectively... it's worth it to enjoy the game for the rest of your life.

I wanted Crackdown and I got Tony Hawk but I agree if I want to get my moneys worth (especially since I already bought the future DLC) I need to play the game the way it wants me to play it rather than my way.

I definitely want to finish the story so hopefully during that time my ADD side will come out and I'll enjoy the game more ;p

Is the story any good? Are there a lot of size missions and most importantly, is the map tiny like DR3?

I like the story and enjoy the humor. I've seen some complaints that the game tries to hard to be funny but I don't find that to be the case.

Plenty of side missions and challenges but they are all basically the same so it does get repetitive and lots of collection quest...lots and lots and lots, did I mention lots of collection quest?

Map doesn't feel small but also not so large that getting from A to B it feels like a chore, also has fast travel so that aspect works for me.

It just so happens that I love fetch quests and as long as it is bigger than DR3 then I'll be happy.

What a great game... Only played a few hours but its really fun to play and doesn't seam to take itself to seriously.. Haven't played MP yet but I'm sure that's going to be great fun..

Played a couple of hours now and I'm loving it. Not played this style of game before so it's taking me a while to get used to the whole grinding, jumping, bouncing and shooting at the same time, but i'm getting there. I understand why some gameplay videos
made it look a bit dull. They were doing it wrong!! LOL!!

Super impressed with the sheer scale of the graphics. That draw distance is amazing when you get up high and look around!

Regarding the button pressing, it's done on purpose. If I had to press only one button to go from one side of the game world to the other, the game would be no fun because it would practically be playing itself. Sure, it may seem like a combo-system, but
that's what helps keep you active as you play!

As for the auto-aim, I think it does just fine in terms of balance. It helps make it accessible for those who aren't used to shooters as well as makes it easier to shoot enemies since you're constantly on the move and is still hard enough for players who
are good at the game (such as myself) that we can still miss on occasion but not also have it be rage-inducing or take forever to take an enemy down - all of this helps promote the primary purpose of this game: FUN!

This game is not meant to be slow or challenging to the point of inducing rage - if you want either of those, then by all means, go play something else; you already know you won't find that here.

I agree you can go from rail to rail, car to car, etc and that's exactly what gives the game the skateboarding/snowboarding game feel that will turn a lot of people off.

Most of the rails are needlessly short simply to require you to press A and X. It's obvious they wanted that "combo" feel to movement so the game succeeds in what it intended to do but that's the games downfall for me.

I'm not bashing the game ( take that back, MP is very tacked on and could have been much better), the SP is very good character, story and humor wise but if someone is expecting the "normal" open world, over the top style gameplay they'll be disappointed.

Even the gunplay aspect is downplayed. Auto lock and AE damage weapons allow you to simply hold down your trigger and aim the general direction of the mutants while concentrating on your movement combos.

Good or bad it's a Tony Hawk, SSX game with guns and if you like that genre, you'll like the game.

It's not rocket science guys - the ONLY kind of hard part is moving the camera as you move with the right joystick so you know where you're going.

Still haven't gotten to spend much time in Sunset City as I wanted (probably won't until the weekend) but I love what I've seen so far. For me the controls don't feel sloppy at all, maybe it takes a bit of getting use to (especially coming from Destiny)
but it was smooth for me once I got the hang of it. I really think that's the key because you have to do multiple things at once while constantly staying on the move so it can get overwhelming.

I would guess that most of the high reviews are because the game just screams have relax, have fun and enjoy yourself. People seem to really love that vibe it gives. Way too early on for me to give any kind of score but I'll say this is a good exclusive
for MS to have.
