Sunset Overdrive gets a free trial on Xbox One

Fair enough. I enjoyed it immediately but as Bran said, unlocking that AirDash really enhanced things and the story got better & better. For me it was a mix of something new & fresh along with a campaign that had heart and was fun to play. I won't even get
started on all the awesome weapons I unlocked, fun times!

Got the game with the ongoing deal. I didn't tried it when the trial was first offered and I didn't need to, to be frank - what little I've seen from it peaked my interest. And Insomniac are competent developers - I trust them to deliver a quality product.

Haha Bran I was addicted to some of those challenges, it was fun going back & forth with friends. I loved the transversal ones! And I agree, there was a DR3 feel along with compliments of a few other games in SO. They did it in a way that was more of a nod
than copying. With that Sunset Overdrive still had its own identity ;-)

 

This was the first game in a long time that not only did I do all the achievements and most of the achievement challenges, but also completed every in-game challenge (darn ball traversals), got every piece of clothing, all amps to the highest level and upgraded
every single gun to level 5.

I actually don't think there's a single thing left for me to do in the game and I've got 100,000's of money and overcharge. One of the best games I've played in a long time and nearly unfair they're doings this trial because how can you resist not purchasing
the full game!? Haha.

 

^^ Exactly!!! I love it so much!!! I haven't done as much as you but man did I enjoy myself.

 

I loved this game within minutes of starting it. It's mindless fun. Definitely some challenging parts but the characters and the dialogue are as amazing as the gameplay.

I had a lot of trouble getting used to the " shooting while grinding " aspect of the game. A lot of people say that this is silly, but I never got better at " shooting while grinding " until long after I completed the story mode.

That moment you come face to face with Brylcream for the first time still makes me chuckle.

Brilliant game & hours of fun.

 

There is one achievement left that i didn't get and I do not own the game anymore. It's for a chaos squad achievement in the Rise of the Robots DLC. I wonder if I can somehow play that if I re-download the trial since I still own the DLC?
