Sunset Overdrive gets a free trial on Xbox One

Sunset Overdrive developer Insomniac giving a free trial of its game on Xbox One, starting now and through June 15. The trial gives you three hours of game time.

Insomniac recommends downloading the game in full before starting to play. The timer starts from the minute you launch the game, so be sure to make use of every
minute.

hello. sorry for my bad english. I bought xbox one. game for free Sunset-Overdrive-Day-One-Edition. i entered the game code, but i dont see this game in my xbox. and i get the error on page Xbox One Games | Xbox

Unable to access Sunset overdrive free for 24 hours

I have been unable to download sunset overdrive free for 24 hours, it doesn't give me the option to install it when I go to play sunset overdrive free I just have bundles, which is grayed out or buy the game for £44.99. I have a gold active gold sub and
can't figure out how to trial to work.

anyone that hasn't played it should give it a shot, it is a very well made game, lot of fun.

 

It is very cool that they are doing this. Sunset Overdrive is ridiculous good fun. I also highly recommend Sunset Overdrive for those who have not had the opportunity to enjoy this game

 

They offered this a couple months ago... the free trial. I see with DwG it is $30.00 for the game.... (gears are grinding)

 

I played it when it was free last time, it was fun but not for me.

 

Yeah I played this when it was free to play the last time, but I got bored of it pretty quick.

 

That's exactly how I felt after a couple of hours.

 

It's an awesome game. They let us try it for free months ago. You were still able to unlock achievements so if you are a completionist, don't download it or it will mess you up. If you're an achievement horse then definitely download it.

Keep in mind that you have to get the air-dash ability before the game becomes super fun. Without it, it is more difficult to traverse. It took 2 hours or so to get that ability if I remember correctly.

 

Its a good game, i just wish they would have incorporated the 8 player co-op into the main game soem how. That would have been mental.

 

I'm a day one owner of the game its very fun to play

 

Sadly I don't think 3 hours is enough to full appreciate and enjoy the game. IMO it's the best Xbox One game still! It's really a breath of fresh air in this gaming industry with so may sequels and remakes.

One of the few games where you feel you got everything you were suppose to get in the main game and DLC's felt like DLC's and not content that was cut or held back.

If anyone was on the fence about the game then now is the perfect time to try it or buy it.

 

To be honest if a game doesn't instantly get my attention then sadly I am unlikely to keep playing it. I'm not the kind of person who wants to wait 3 hours or more before it gets better. I'm not saying it's a bad game, I am sure it is good, it's just not
for me and I can normally tell if I will like a game or not as soon as I start playing it.

For me I just got bored of jumping about and grinding on rails, it was fun for five minutes or so but the novelty wore off, I didn't particularly enjoy the shooting/combat and the story didn't grab my attention.
