Sunset Overdrive broke my Xbox! :(

I decided to sit on it; I went to sleep hoping it would resolve itself overnight. It didn't. So, now I've deleted it and am reinstalling it, which is a bummer considering now I'll probably wait half the day for it to finish with my 6mbps download speed.
Even then, it's no guarantee to fix the issue - it may get stuck all over again...

At least the console seems to be running a bit smoother (still can't transfer the SO files from one HDD to the other, though. What's up with that?).

SSB, I appreciate your attempt at helping, but please read posts more carefully in the future. I'd already mentioned trying a hard reset in my initial post for this thread.

Thanks for your help guys. If the reinstall doesn't work, I will then go to support with the issue. I'm also in the preview program, so that might even be a factor in all of this. :|

 

Are your other games working ok?

 

Just to be on the safe side GG, don't start the game before its fully installed....even if it say's it's ready to start.

normally a power cycle will solve an issue like this:
support.xbox.com/.../power-cycle-console

If that fails, uninstalling the game followed by a power cycle and then installing a game should work.

 

I reckon you got a corrupt download first time. That would probably explain why the system wouldn't copy it over from one HDD to another.

 

GG, as I said before I have the game preloaded on my console right now and I can't actually copy the file to my HDD. I think this is just function of games on your system in a preordered state.

 

I knew a thread like this was coming........ funny how because one game didn't work it "broke" the X1.

 

He is more than likely having legit issues King. I bought the deluxe edition and 2/3 of the DLC is not there. DLC Weapons and Outfits are missing even though I am able to play the game.

I've seen another gamer post this problem on Twitter, deleting and re-downloading did fix it though so good luck.

 

So, after my last post at 6 a.m., I went back to sleep to get more shut-eye and to "speed up" the process). I just woke up again, it's 4 hours later, and checking on the download, just found out that it reached 15%... It looks like I'm going to be in this
for the agonizingly long haul.

So, if it takes me 4 hours to reach 15%, that means it will take me the entire day (and then some) before I can play the game at its current rate. :'(

 

^^ What the hell kind of internet provider you got? I'd change that som bish if I were you.

 

4 hours to get to 15%? I'd definitely look into another broadband provider if possible.

I know my cousin lives in a rural area and only gets around 7-9mb but he's pre-downloaded Sunset Overdrive and ok it wasn't done quickly but it took nowhere near this sort of time.

 

Believe me, I would if I could (and I've discussed this before). In my area, I only have access to one ISP - AT&T. My family uses their best option available in my area, which is 6mbps down and 1mbps up. There are better options available with AT&T, but
not within my area, and even if it was available in my area, the prices are prohibitively expensive. Hell, even now, our prices jumped over recent months from $40 a month to $100 a month and there's nothing we can do about it! We've already complained to the
company, but they don't care because they KNOW they have a monopoly over us. It's them or nothing... It's this kind of setup that gives me a great hatred over phone companies, cable companies, and those who oppose net neutrality.
