Summoning failed... Again

Has there been any definitive guide for the 360 about how to summon friends? This time about 2 weeks ago, I could get a friend after maybe 10-15 minutes of waiting for the summon signs to appear. As of the last 3 days, I haven't been able to get him into
my game at all. I heard a couple tricks such as playing for about 10 minutes then trying, and not sign-spamming, but this has been all for naught. I can see his sign, I click Ok and it just continuously fails, all while he is being summoned by others and I
am being invaded like crazy. So, I'm just curious for all those co-op players out there, do you have any tips or tricks for summoning one another?

Improved Online Functionality

I am still having issues summoning people into my games it keeps saying summoning failed most of the time, sometimes it works, but I can be summoned into other peoples worlds no problem.

dark souls 3 problem?

Every so often I can summon or be summoned but 99 percent of the time it fails Im trying to rack up some souls at the grand archives. Ive heard it might have something to do with a high traffic area? Anybody else having this problem?

Find a safe place to put the summon sign where others won't see it. If it doesn't appear after a couple minutes, have your friend place their sign down again. Also, restart the game every once in a while until you establish that first connection. I've
found that once you've connected once in a session, you can usually continually connect as long as you don't restart after the first connection.

I think you will start to see more and more player interaction on the xbox in a few weeks. folks are getting used to the game and the multiplayer concept takes a little getting used to.

why do summons fail? Tried to summon a few folks last night and they all failed. I put down my summon sign and after 10 mins. or so got summoned no problem, however i did stand right on my summon symbol and waited. the next time i dropped my symbol i
decided to explore a bit and got a message that my symbol had disappeared. So does the symbol leave if you go too far away or when someone tried to summon you and it fails?

I love the concept of this multiplayer. I just wish the summoning was more reliable. I'll see his sign and summon but it just fails randomly.

that is DEF not the case, you can get invaded while your sign is down. I've had my summon sign down on many times and waited at a bon fire and got invaded. Yesterday, I saw a guy to summon, but it kept failing when I tried to summon em, so I decided to invade,
and I invaded the exact guy who I tried to summon.
