Summer Update Headset Audio Crackling

Since the xbox summer update through my xbox stereo headset and other headsets I get audio crackling like sound when going through the dashboard especially. Partially in the games too but mainly the dashboard. Tried the old controller and stereo headset
and new 3.5 jack xbox one controller and still. Replaced batteries, resynced. I also took batteries out and plugged in in direct and rebooted. Read to clear the cache, unplug the power, clear the mac address. Unplugged modem, router and everything but still.
Anyone else have this?

XB1 headset audio crackling and cutting out.

I have gone through three different headsets with my third purchase being an hour before writing this, I am having audio issues with a crackling and static sound during game volume, as well as audio dropping out. My Xbox also quit responding to my elite
controller and had to be reset all of this has started after the recent update.

 

Sound too quiet with new headset adaptor.

The confusion is that there are multiple instances of crackle that seem different....

1) Crackle on voice chat from using headsets plugged into the new adapter - MS acknowledged and are working on fixing, I presume in the next update.

2) Nasty and loud crackle on ALL headsets in every situation, dash, game menu, game - hard reset fixes

3) A faint crackle on some headsets when on menu's such as the dash as you describe here - only affects some users and I think MS have said they are working on a fix.......

 

Yep I have the same problem. Crackling noise when going through the dashboard. Have you heard anything new about this ?

Sorry to see you're having headset trouble. To start things off, which other headsets have you tested and have any of them not given you the crackle you're hearing? Is it possible to test your headset on a friend's console to see if you also run into this
sound? I managed to give this a try myself and I'm unable to hear any static or crackling.

 

I tried both the official stereo headset and my Kingston Cloud II's. They both work fine on my phone. I know it seems to only effect certain models probably of xbox's but it only happened after the update.

 

I don't have a friends xbox to test though but it is update based, I think also controller firmware.

 

Got a new update yesterday that made it better more for the official Xbox Stereo headset. A little better for my cloud II's. Not perfect yet but seems they are working on it.
