Suing Xbox live for forced gamertags

Microsoft forcing automatically generated gamertags breaks the terms and conditions of any account that was created before this new rule was made. Please comment in support if you would like to join in, suing Microsoft. This isn't a 12 year old writing an
angry post, this is a illegal action by Microsoft to make more money off their members. Any account before this new forced gamertag change should have been grandfathered into the old method of having their account suspended and the suspension being lifted
once the gamertag is changed for free.

It's possible there are enough complaints that you gamertag goes against the Xbox Live Code of Conduct policy.

Actually whenever the terms are updated, you are required to re-read them and re-sign them before being able to use Live again. So even if an account was created before the new rule was created, you still agreed to it at some point.

 

There are actually grandfathered accounts and Microsoft needs to recognize that for forced gamertags too. There are some rules that cannot be applied to older accounts, no matter if you agreed to an update or not.

 

Whether or not it is a grandfathered account, it doesn't matter. When changes to the ToC's change, it will effect everyone, they are the ToC's of playing and using Microsoft's service. They can change the ToC's whenever they want to and you have to agree
to them in order to use the service. There might be some things that are grandfathered in, however having a gamertag that is offensive, can be deemed offensive, racist, etc, still fall under the gamer tag change rule, grandfathered or not. Its your responsibility
to abide by the ToC's so it doesn't happen.

 

LazyCalf, if you think suing Microsoft that have billions that can last in court for a very long time and with the finest lawyers in the US of A, is cheaper to do then just paying for a $10 dollar gamertag change then be my guest. Can't wait for that hilarious

There's no "grandfathered terms" with your account. This is not an overpriced cellular data plan, this is Xbox Live. You accept the current Microsoft Services Agreement through continued use of their services, among other ways (See the MSA opening paragraph
and Section 7). Section 3(b) of the MSA states Microsoft has full rights to "remove or refuse to publish your content" (i.e. your gamertag) "for any reason" (i.e. Code of Conduct).

If you could point out actual discrepancies in the terms or some kind of loophole that allows whatever you're suing about, then this would actually be interesting. Otherwise, your case isn't making it past the first paragraph of the MSA, as far as I can
tell.

You're all a bunch of compliant sheep. If Microsoft made new terms that if anyone had the letter "E' in their name then they would have to pay $10, I'm sure you'd be just as compliant. You're all very simple minded if you think I would sue over $10, of course
though I'm sure none of you have your own principles. Microsoft **** a lot of people over and it's your type that bend over with a smile.

 

No matter how ridiculous Microsoft made there terms of use they can do the **** they want to it as its there "SERVICE", Now its up to all of us, users to agree or not agree to it. Yes we have freewill to not use their service, but we understand and hence we
