    Suggestions for original Xbox and Xbox 360 games made Backwards Compatible for Series S/X


    Hi Microsoft,

    I got here some game suggestions for the Xbox Backwards Compatibility team on Microsoft to take into consideration for when you guys resume the Backwards Compatiblity list on November 10, 2020 when the Xbox Series S/X comes out. Some of these will be easier
    for you to get available, while others may require some extra work to get available; either way, I hope you take this list as a suggestion for what games to get backwards compatible on the Xbox Series S/X (and on Xbox One too of course for those that still
    play there), I definitely want to see that BC list grow and play lots of these great games on my new Xbox Series X in the near future. Suggestions for original Xbox and Xbox 360 games made Backwards Compatible for Series S/X :)

    Hi, are the xbox 360 games compatible with xbox one?

    There are a number of 360 games that will play on an Xbox One (as wells the Series X/S). You can check out the backward compatibility list here - https://www.xbox.com/games/backward-compatibility

    Filter by the collection on the left (Original Xbox, Xbox 360, etc.)

    Is warhammer 40k space marines compatible for the Xbox one or the series x? Keeping in mind that this game came out on the 360

    Hi,

    Sadly, Warhammer 40K Space Marines is not backwards compatible with Xbox One or Series X. The only way to play this game is on an Xbox 360 or by purchasing the PC version on Steam.

    Note: There is no separate list for Xbox 360 games on Series X. If I game is not BC on the Xbox One, it won't be BC on the Series X|S either.

    The Xbox One wasn't powerful enough to make all Xbox 360 games BC as the 360 hardware uses a totally different type of CPU architecture. Unfortunately, the BC program has now ended. No more Xbox 360 or original Xbox games will be made backwards compatible. It wasn't a simple process, hence the limited amount of titles.

    Bring Gotham City Imposters to Backward Compatibility

    The backwards compatibility team is working on the Series X so there won't be anymore games from the 360/original Xbox made back compatible until after the Series X launch.

    That said, I would love to see Gotham City Impostors made playable on the Series X. That game was so much fun!

    Xbox Series X

    I believe what is meant by "full" is that all current gen games and any games that were already made available via the backwards compatibility program (Xbox 360, original Xbox) will be playable on the Series X. So basically "full" means everything you can
    currently play on an Xbox One right now you will be able to play on the Series X.

    But those 360 and original Xbox games that are not currently backwards compatible still will not be playable on the Series X. That's due to licensing issues with the older games.
