Suggestions for Microsofts XBOX divison to gain the upper hand.

I just wanted to say to the OP, obviously a very thought out post, I suggest providing all the feedback at the link Akame posted.

Also that I have no ideas of my own because as much as I love my Xbox, I really don't care if they get the 'upper hand' I just want them to keep doing what they're doing because I'm pretty content on my consoles right now.

 

Here thing OP. To have it stable 60FPS and 1080P. You need to have at less 8GB for games to run. But system have truble to run 1080P@60FPS. Both console should come with 12GB of ram and not 8GB or ram.

@ Pyramid, I know the difference obviously, but the recent outage was still the work of hackers. Regardless of the method used, hackers caused it. That is not acceptable for a paid service.

^^The thing though is the competition isnt using a superior service over their previous gen offering which was free. They just made you start to pay for it, and dont invest that money back into its network. While I agree a DDoS attack isnt something that
can be stopped, but its fairly easy to be done over on PSN compared to XBL if the tweets of the individuals responsible is anything to go by.

 

I don't think it matters--it's a brute force tactic that to some, isn't even considered hacking) and it seems it can cripple anything. Sony wasn't the only one affected by this and I've seen reports of these Ddos attacks a lot these days.

 

I expect MS to recover, just like Sony recovered with the PS3. I just hope MS have learnt the same lessons Sony did with the PS3 that most consumers won't swallow any old **** regardless of brand. Brand loyalty is only useful when the product in question
represents value for money and gives consumers what they want. No one likes being told what they should like. The 360 comment didn't do them any favours also.

That said, you could argue that MS' only mistake was doing the first reveal. Sony probably had exactly the same spiel lined up.

 

@Pyramid, brute force attack or not if you look at the Youtube video the "hacker" released clearly explains how easily it was done to Sony and how it can be done to MS as well but not as easily.

 

Oh well yeah, I agree with you there. I would imagine it is harder to against Xbox Live.

Xbox One is retaining a smaller portion of their already established fanbase, whereas PS4 (and PC) are gaining previous Xbox 360 players, as well as retaining their already established fanbase.

Microsoft literally shot themselves in the foot for their arrogance, and deserve to face the consequences because of it. Halo is the only thing keeping their console buisness alive.

 

They continue to make dumb decisions, like wasting all that money on timed exclusive for Tomb Raider... The money would be better spent developing new IPs.

Gears of War and Halo series aren't enough to keep a console relevant.

But the reality is, whether you want to recognize it or not - Is PC is the future of gaming.

We don't need multiple hardware to play software... Software should be the only competition.

Did you saw games that are/coming on/to Xbox One and their diversity? From Titanfall to Zoo Tycoon, from Max and the Curse of Brotherhood to Dance Central, Forza Horizon 2 or Quantum Break? I think they are rolling these games out and I love it, Fall line
up seems pretty amazing compared to Sony's. Microsoft is doing so much better since Phil is the boss of Xbox.
