Suggestions for Microsofts XBOX divison to gain the upper hand.

Hello, I am just your regular everyday XBOX gamer. I am a diehard fan of XBOX and it's system, hardware, exclusives and every little aspect of XBOX ever since the first XBOX I have never looked back but only forward. I am going to make this thread on behalf
of the entire XBOX community as a collective attempt to break through to the higher up decision makers in the XBOX division and Microsoft itself. This is purely aimed towards making Microsoft XBOX division more profitable and popular in the consumer market
in turn making it better for consumers because when XBOX prospers we prosper as we as consumers ARE XBOX.

As we all know and cannot be denied the E3 reveal of the XBOX One was not accepted very well at all by gamers and consumers and we have lost many of the previous XBOX and XBOX 360 community because of this. E3's XBOX reveal was what in part boosted our counterpart
the Playstations popularity through the roof as they knew what market to present to and please, the GAMERS. As we remember and learn from the mistakes from the past and realize that we are being beaten down in sales from a business perspective because as consumers
once we get our hands on XBOX we already won. We want to realize that in order for our hardware to sell more we need to win back the faith of many, many consumers seeing how we are being beaten in sales 3:1 or 2:1.

How can we win back the worldwide community of gamers everywhere? Put consumers before profit. Why this you ask if we are a business and profit is what we work for? Ask yourselves one simple question where do we get out profit? Correct answer: the consumer.

We need to focus on giving the consumer the unchallenged, undeniable place for their wants and needs and where they feel as valued. We as a company value our profit and our profit is our consumers who provide us directly with said profit. If we do not value
the consumer we do not value the profit because we cannot have one without the other. We must sit down with eachother all the CEOs, presidents, marketers, engineers and pioneers. What is our future goal? Do we want quick and easy profit (however small it may
be) or do we want a long term infrastructure with ever growing profit and consumer base (lets just call it profit base).

If you chose the latter then I propose to you these steps you may consider taking in order to accomplish this suggested by your profit itself.

1. Focus on the consumer first. Remember that ALL profit comes from the consumer even Microsoft's XBOX division employees checks that includes CEOs if we had no profit there would be no pay. Knowing this we must always keep the consumer in mind before anything
else as in business it is proven that the profit will surely follow like a waterfall.

2. Sacrifice your way of thinking and innovative the gaming industry along with the company and consumer relationship perspective. Provide consumers with undivided loyalty and attention sacrifice quick profits for future assured fortunes. This means for
example lower consumer costs for subscriptions, hardware, software or all of the above.

3. Push the envelope when it comes to value. In the business industry we know that consumers live and flock to value. Provide the unchallenged best value for their buck because that is what we want their bucks. Consumers way of showing happiness and loyalty
is from their hard earned money so that is what we are aiming for happiness and loyalty foremost. Sacrifice a bit of MSRP for value and we will see products shipping and being sold like an all you can eat for one price buffet.

4. Do not be afraid to jump at new opportunities to invest in the ideas of new developers or adopt consumer ideas. We must always be changing in this ever evolving gaming market. Consumers(gamers) always want the newest and next best thing. Listen to these
ideas and put them in a real world perspective outside of business will it be a hit? How much attention and talk is there? How cost effective can we market and produce? Use these factors and apply them to your decision making. Ask the community what do they
think before putting it out and absorb the feedback and make a consumer and business educated decision on how to move forward.

5. Strive to achieve the best business practice out there. Busniess' who have a clear cut mission of satisfying customers and employees always succeed above their competitors. Business practice is a key fundemental cornerstone of a successful company. Make
sure you are always honest with your consumers and employees (which include developers and publishers).

6. Drive your business on where the profit (consumer) will go not where you want to see it go. A successful business company first and foremost goes where the profit goes and then shapes it to their vision the best they can, not shape it ti their vision
and hope the profit follows instead. Use all your efforts and investments into where the modern consumer is going, tools for this can be anything along the lines of consumer surveys, feedback, direct isolated consumer panels and your version of "a mystery
shopper". Study the market on a consumer perspective before a company perspective.

7. Never settle for less. Innovate, set examples and demand results. This means think outside the box and change the regular routine of selling products to consumer and also making products. Set examples for partnering companies and developers on innovative
and consumer relationship because if partners earn more so do we. Demand results from partners and developers not to the bottom line but above it. Do not settle or allow a less than satisfactory product such a less than 1080p graphics or unfinished or unstable
products such as DICE's Battlefield 4 ( just look at the black lash and all the future profit they now lost thanks to one mistake by both developer and publisher).

Remember Microsoft the success and only success in XBOX is the consumer not the goals of the CEO or the president. Consumers allow success and nothing else so apply the thinking of a consumer company instead of a business company and you will see your market
boosted up fast to levels beyond imagination. Take this with all opened mind and receive the message with open ears because your profit is talking do not let its voice be lost.

Shotgunners

I try to avoide the open areas as much as I can but when I need to tread out I do anything to gain the upper-hand. zig-zag,soften up with flashes or frags,ect ect.

shotgunning is only effective in the hand of a clevere and witty combatant.

 

Black screen on Power Up

When I turn on my Xbox, instead of going to the home screen it just goes to a black screen with the Xbox logo in the upper right hand corner. I can power off with the controller and hard reset but it only goes to the black screen. Any suggestions?

 

No one from microsoft visits here, they will never see this.

Microsoft are a business, profits will always come first.

As long as they don't let LIVE get brought to it's knees by hackers like PSN just did for the second time than it should be ok.

 

Also, keep in mind that this isn't as bad as it was 3 years ago, but still.....

 

Gaining the upper hand...

.. hmm. I'm not sure it's even a question of gaining the upper hand. It's a question of leveling the playing field. People are overreacting somewhat to the sales figures (MS doesn't release them, so people are skirting around half facts, and bits of non-almost-information
to piece together what they think MS has shifted in terms of consoles.)

The Xbox One hasn't yet shipped to as many markets as the PS4. More units of Titanfall shifted on 360 than they did on the One, and it topped most games charts, and more 360's are being sold every day.

For a view of how well Microsoft are doing you have to count the older machines 360/PS3 as part of the competition too, as the subscription service is the same across platforms, and will likely retain customers as people upgrade to newer machines. The One
is about to break into the China market, and the PS4 won't be doing that for a while I think, even in the near future. 2014/15.

So... yeah... level, as opposed to upper hand, IMHO... heh.

 

@brandiesel, PSN is being hit with a DDoS attack, not been hacked. There is a huge difference. And it's not just PSN. WoW, Path of Exile and others have had the same thing happen today.

Whoa, what is happening? I just woke up and haven't been on my ps3 yet.

 

Do you honestly think all these service alerts on xbox live are just technical problems?

I firmly believe xbox live is being attacked as much as playstation, microsoft just hide it better.

 

@Pyramid, PSN has been down for most of the day here in the UK and elsewhere. Some script kiddies called Lizard Squad claim to be behind this and the other DDoS attacks, between this and tomorrow's scheduled maintenance my plans for a bank holiday weekend
monster session of Last of Us MP has been well and truly borked, gutted!

 

Ahh. I haven't been able to get on because for some reason I haven't been able to connect to my router at all. That doesn't surprise me though. DDoS attacks from my understanding are just a brute force tatic to disrupt the services.

 

Also of note, is the fact bomb threats were made against American Airlines and the same flight the SOE president was on.
