Suggestion for Xbox Game Bar

Discus and support Suggestion for Xbox Game Bar in XBoX on Windows to solve the problem; I have several different game controllers that I use for different games, but sometimes plugging and unplugging the USB cables seems to cause an issue...     Suggestion for Xbox Game Bar


    I have several different game controllers that I use for different games, but sometimes plugging and unplugging the USB cables seems to cause an issue where the gamepad is seen as the 2nd or 3rd controller, instead of the primary. even though it is the only
    device plugged in and selected as the "preferred device" in the joystick control panel. The only ways around this i've found is a complete reboot.

    Couldn't we have a option or widget in the Game Bar where we can select which controller we want to be seen as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd and/or 4th ?

    I used to have a similar issue on a previous PC where I used a Roccat Tyon mouse. The customizable thumb paddle would be seen as controller #1, so many games would be unplayble with a game controller, unless you unplugged the mouse first, or disabled the
    relevant HID game controller entry in the device manager.

    No longer getting Game Bar notifications

    To find the new settings for Achievements and Rewards notifications bring up the Xbox Social panel in Game Bar and click the 3 bars options icon top right - but this doesn't fix the issue either.

    Suggest using the Feedback Hub to report the problem.

    Hi Kathy

    I have done everything you suggested and my controller still will not open the Xbox game bar. It will open with Windows + G but not my controller. When I first connect my controller it will open the game bar but after that it does nothing.
