    Suggestion for gamertag changes


    Why should I have to pay 10 dollars to get my old username back, or have a new username? There should be a system where you have to wait a certain amount of days and then it’s free. Maybe there could be a refund button where you get back your old gamer tag if it’s available. Can the price at least be lowered? I don’t want to pay 10 dollars just because I misspelled something in my Minecraft username.

    Hello, I would just say in the future to make sure you check the spelling and the name you want before you confirm the purchase, weather it be free or brought for $10. FYI its always been a fee to change the name since Xbox has been established.

    Why should you have to pay? Because that's the decision they have made. You get your one free change...it is not Microsoft's fault if it has a spelling error. My guess the price is to stop people changing their gamertag every 5 minutes and overloading the system

    You are entitled to a free change if the gamertag you are using is one of the generated/suggested gamertags that they make for you.

    If you made your own gamertag, then unfortunately you are unable to change it for free.
