Suggestion for Game DVR

Instead of having just 5 minute clips, the time should be upped to at least 15 minutes, which is what i believe the ps4's recording time is. This would enable more people, like myself, to create better, more developed content then just the 5 minutes. The
5 minutes is good for short "holy crap did you see that" clips, but I'm trying to go for full length, YouTube video clips. There is no reason this shouldn't be impossible.

Game DVR for Xbox 360?

Hi,

do you think they will make a game dvr for xbox 360? It could be nice to record the game in the cloud only and edit it from your PC instead of having a full app like Xbox One. I would like to record some Xbox 360 video, but I don't have te equipment for
that.

Now I am receiving another new error code 0x82323004 for my game dvr. Absolutely nothing works. anyone with any kind of suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

There is a reason it isn't possible, but alas, I cannot tell you what it is because I forgot what it was... :|

 

If you want to make youtube quality videos... BUY AN ACTUAL CAPTURE DEVICE.. seriously... 5 minutes is good enough for the masses...

want to capture more than 5 minutes on low quality raw feed? start streaming on twitch and archive your streams... grab them from your twitch channel or settings..

The hard drive space for high quality 15 minute clips is not only well out of the scope of the present hard drive, but not what 95% of the community wants or needs, the system is design for the masses not the few, the build in clips do what there ment to
do very very well.

If you want more, pay out and get it done don't complain the system isn't designed for you.

 

On a note to the title not the content you going to have to offer a hell of a lot more info if you want a recomendation for a PVR, budget, resolution, input, output, your computers basic spec and what your also using it for at the same time. etc etc.

 

As others have suggested... if quality is something you are concerned about, then I would get a capture card. You can record in 1080 P 60 FPS, edit the clips, include live commentary, and do whatever you want with the file.

i actually prefer the xbox one DVR over the ps4, it's just so nice having the xbox record every last 5 minutes. so if you get a nice kill or something like that, you don't have to worrie about having to turn the darn thing on, wich happend alot to me on
the ps4. so many good moments gone to waste =[

 

^ Eh? PS4 alway records your last 5, 10 or 15 minutes of gameplay depending on your setting. If you do something save worthy just hold the share button and save clip. You don't need to turn anything on as it's always running.

With over 90K GS and an XB1 I think it's safe to say they don't need converting

If it is purely a matter of Hard Drive space then what about those of us with 1TB drives and/or external USB drives? We Have plenty of space.

OP never says that the video quality needs to be 1080p60FPS, just longer videos. I would really like this because my upload speed is way too slow for twitch streaming (1 Mbps).

I am also interested in capture card reccommendations from people here.

 

I agree with OP the time at 5 minutes is very weak. I want to cap at least 15 minutes, that's the default'ish time to use. There is no reason not to have this at all. Size isn't an issue, as they can limit the time a game itself can capture without the
user.

Users will have to remove old videos, just like they do now. So there is no real issue with space. Allow capture to external, and even better.

Lets make this happen.
