Suddenly can't connect to Internet on 360

Subsequent tests have been failing consistently unless I stop and/or restart miniupnpd. I posted on the IP Fire forums to see if maybe they can think of something else that might be causing this.

Latest dashboard update provided some interesting changes. I can now sign into Xbox Live, although network tests still fail. I can even sign in immediately after a failed network test without issue. When I was troubleshooting the issue some more with
phone support, it eventually wouldn't let me sign in anymore but when I got it working again (turned uPnP off and then back on) it seems that I have still been able to sign in/out and even download a demo without issue even though the Xbox Live Connection
test consistently fails on the internet phase. After 3 hours on the phone with largely unhelpful support agents, I got a supervisor who at least claimed he was going to submit a bug report, but I'm pretty sure he was just telling me what I wanted to hear
to get me off of the phone.

And login started to fail again. So it works longer, but still eventually fails.

This would break a fundamental rule of UPnP implemantion, but what about if you would try to attache your Xbox to the DMZ segement of your firewall, and have the UPnP framework still running.

There is no DMZ feature on my router and you're right in that it would break everything else I needed ports forwarded to. I did, however, find an acceptable solution. I modified my miniupnpd.conf to deny all the 360's requests altogether and deny any other
clients access to the ports the 360 wants (namely 3074).

deny 0-65535 192.168.1.20 0-65535 <--- 360's static IP denied for all ports

deny 3074 0.0.0.0/0 3074 <--- All other devices denied on 3074

allow 1025-65535 0.0.0.0/0 1025-65535 <--- Allow all other devices ports 1025+ (except 3074)

I then used manual port forwarding for the 360. So I get uPnP for everything on my network that plays nice with it and manual port forwarding for the 360 since it's not. I also blacklisted the 360's ports from being assigned to other devices, to avoid
conflicts. Connection tests are all passing now and my other devices seem happy with the arrangement so far.

I can't, it says that it's not connected to the internet. My xbox one is connected to the internet but when I try to play a 360 game on the xbox one it says that it can't connect to the internet.

I have the same issue. Suddenly I was disconnected from Live and I could never connect anymore. The XBOX 360 can connect to the router, but cannot access to internet. I tried with another WiFi but it's the same.

Suddenly tonight I can't run anything requiring xbox live. I'm prompted to check my connection. When I check my connection via the connection test in network settings everything is fine. The console connects to my router, to the internet and to xbox live

Yes... this feels like we're going around in circles rather than forward.

If DHCP wasn't enabled, or was disabled but had incorrect manual settings, the 360 wouldn't connect at all no matter what I did. In fact, it wouldn't make it past the "Network" step of diagnosis.

I've already explained that I tried all manner and combination of manual port forwarding / no manual port forwarding / upnp and detailed the results in previous posts.

Even if I had both manual port forwarding AND upnp enabled, it shouldn't matter because it would just result in duplicate IP Table entries that would both be correct and the firewall would simply use the first one it found on the list.
