Sudden updates for backwards compatibility games for no reason

can any one tell me why all my 360 BC games suddenly need updates, even thow I been playing them for somtime. Only been this last week and all seem to be around 500mb. There seems to be reason for it and in case of deus ex I was playing it daylt

If there is updates available for those games, then I would assume it's bug fixes for the backwards compatibility.

The reason none of those game are working is because of the fact none of those games are backwards compatible with Xbox One. Please continue to check

There's a chunk of original xbox games that were not made backwards compatible for several reasons. Unfortunately, Microsoft stopped updating backwards compatibility of original Xbox games a long time ago. You'll need an actual original Xbox to play your
game.

If it's not backward compatible then it's not backward compatible and never will be as they stopped updating the emulator years ago. The only Robotech game that is backward compatible is Battlecry.

As some additional information. to the answer already specified.

The backward compatible game while it is the same game the download is basically different version of the game, being the backward compatible version of the game. This is also the reason why inserting a backward compatible game via disc will result in the
backward compatible version being downloaded (disk is still required to start the game)

So in order for you to download that backward compatible version you will have to login to the Xbox Live Account that is used on the 360, which allows you to download backward compatible games that you own.
