    Sudden New Issue: Open Nat, but "your network is behind an address-restricted NAT"


    So, I've been using an Xfinity Cisco Model DPC3941T cable modem/router for some time now, and I've had no issues using a wired connection for Xbox Live on Xbox One. No issues. But, starting a day or so ago, I've been having connection issues, and I discovered
    that occasionally, my upload speeds will be halved, packet loss jumps to 22%, and I receive this message: "your network is behind an address-restricted NAT." What does this mean? What can I do to fix it? Halp?

    My NAT is open by my detailed nat info says "your network is behind an address-restricted NAT. Thats fine right?

    I have the same problem, I get open Nat and I get the message your Network is behind address restricted Nat. I don't have a problem playing online but I can't talk in party chat

    Bump, it has now shifted to "port-restricted NAT" and Moderate NAT type.

    NAT type almost always Moderate. Making it difficult to play GTA V with friends. BT Home Hub 5. Xbox One.

    Forgot to mention, on detailed NAT information it says:

    Your network is behind a port-restricted NAT.

    Problems With Multiple Xbox One's and Open NAT

    It comes down to each ip only having 1 nat port . You cannot run multiple machines behind the same ip and have open nat on multiple machines . you will need to run a multi port switch with multiple ip address from your isp to have open nat on
    every machine . You can have a open nat and restricted nats and blocked nats all running at the same time .behind one ip address . it comes down to direct play inside direct x basically xbox live can only have direct play open once per each Ip address .
