    Sudden Hard Drive Freeze


    Hello,

    I have a relatively new Xbox One X.

    I'd been playing Dead or Alive 5 Last Round for more than an hour, and suddenly during a cut scene the screen went dark and the console started making an errrrrrrr sound. I shut the console down and restarted it. No problems since then.

    Has anyone else experienced this? Or is this normal for an Xbox console?

    I would expect it to have that issue when a game launches rather than in the middle of a game after an hour of use.

    The console sits on top of my TV stand, so there are no ventilation issues.

    Should I assume everything is fine?

    Xbox 360 slim freezing

    So i took my hard drive out and ran Final Fantasy XIII-2 and i left it at the title screen, left the room, came back and it frooze. Funny thing is that this started to happen before and then all of a sudden it stopped doing it after a day or two of freezing.
    I though it might have been my hard drive because last time it seemed like i fixed it by taking out my hard drive for a bit and leaving it on and it didnt freeze but now im not to sure on whats going on

    Same problem here.

    Connected to XBL + Hard Drive: Freezes at loading circles when i try and sign in to any profile.

    Connected to XBL + Hard Drive: Freezes at loading circles when i try and skip sign in.

    Just the hard drive + NO XBL connection: Still Freezes.

    No hard drive or profiles: starts up But its useless.

    Hello

    If your console is not freezing with a particular disc or game, try clearing the console’s system cache.

    If you do this and the console still freezes, try the next solution.

    Remove your hard drive

    If your console has a hard drive, the screen freeze problem might be related to the hard drive. To see if this is true, try removing the hard drive temporarily.

    1. Turn off the console.
    2. Remove the hard drive.
    3. Turn on your console.
    4. Try to reproduce the freeze problem.
    If removing your hard drive resolves your screen freeze problem, you can order a replacement Xbox 360 Hard Drive from the Xbox Online Service Center.
    Console registration is required to replace a hard drive under warranty (the hard drive warranty is the same as your console warranty).

    If your console still freezes... If the step above did not resolve your screen freeze problem, your console might need to be repaired. Submit
    an online repair order    .

    Freezing and slowing down it's sign of errors in hard drive. Seems your console's hard drive needs formatting.
