Sudden Functionality Issues

Bought two games off the Gold sale and let them download all the way. No apparent problems but I didn't try the games.

Then put a game disc in and it got stuck on the loading screen.

Tried switching to a game stored on the stystem. Also wouldn't load. Tried restarting. No luck.

Then it got to where the console wasn't responding to the controllers except when I tried turning it off.

I've unplugged the X-Box One and will try reconnecting it when I get back tonight. Just putting it out there in case it's a known issue.

Sudden connection issues

My Xbox One has been working fine for months. Then all of a sudden I am getting packet loss and poor connection. When ever I go to detail network statistics I have perfect connection for a few hours, which for me is about 25 to 30 download speed and 6
upload speed. After a couple of hours I go down to .42 download and about .11 upload. Per advise of Tech support I cleared my Alt. MAC address. This helped for about 10 minutes and then the problem started again. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Try doing a hard reset like this. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console. Once
it is back up and operational test for results. Let us know. Good Luck!

Sorry to hear about the functionality issues! Did unplugging the system help out? Here are some steps I recommend as well to help you out!

Clear persistent storage:

• Press the menu button on your Xbox One controller and select 'Settings'.
  
• In the Settings menu, select Disc & Blu-ray settings.
• From here, select Persistent storage and clear it.

Power cycle your Xbox One console:

• Press and hold the power button on the Xbox One console for 10 seconds.
  
• Once the unit is powered off, unplug the power cable from the Xbox One and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  
• Plug the power back into the unit and power the console on.

Try those out and let us know if it helps you out!

 

Did you find a solution, Blurreo? I've had very similar problems since I tried to install the MCC off a disk.

 

I have a very similar problem going on right now. Started Xbox and went to resume game AC Unity. It started to load normally, and the the sign in window came up but the profiles were missing and after a few secs the screen disappeared and the game load screen
came back up. The the sign on window came up again to the same result. After a few cycles of this I manually shut down the Xbox. Then I tried to reboot and the controllers barely work except to shut down. Kinect voice functions somewhat but I still can't sign
in. Dead in the water.

 

Giving my X-box a day off seemed to do the trick. Haven't done much gaming, yet, though. Little worried the problem was somehow triggered by my Thief game disc.

More as it developes.

 

Update: had another case of the console ceasing to work properply after soaking the game of Warframe (which I got on download, not disc) awhile, this morning. I tried holding the power button down 10 seconds and then clearing the persistent storage per
Mister Beep's suggestions. (I have been watching blu-ray discs every day this month so hopefully that explains the problem.)

Then I popped in my Thief disc and was able to play for almost an hour! So far so good!
