    Subscriptions got canceled after updating payment method


    I have a concern I recently changed my payment information for my subscriptions, they did not go through so I attempted to renew the subscriptions they did not go through so I spent almost 2 hours in chat with 2 different reps trying to figure out what was
    going on . The first rep Irene D charged my bank 14.98 for my gold and ea subs but they did not restart on my account so she refunded me 14.98 and then charged me 9.99 for gold subscription gift card number which Aleli D was able to provide for me to restart
    my gold but my EA subscription was not successful. My old card had fraud on it so I deleted it from my account and added my new card to the account and set the subscriptions to come from them which they never came out. The reps were great but it does not make
    sense to me that I would be charged the full amount and I do have the bank records to show it did come out but my subscriptions still did not renew so it ended up costing me $25 even though 14.98 will be refunded ( in 3-5 days) which is just an inconvenience
    . If a charge goes through I believe that the programs should go through right away , I have never had this issue before and it just seems a little sketchy and concerning to me had literally used the same new card to purchase FFXV earlier this month which
    went through no problem, the last time something similar happened I updated my payment information and it went through right way... this all started at 240am EST it is now 4:20 am.. just a concerned consumer and avid Xbox fan with current sentiments of disillusion.

    I do not fully understand. I canceled my subscription before it finished. After entering the "Order history " the only thing I have is a red inscription with an information about payment problem, although I canceled my subscription previously

    I have no experience with pening payments, but maybe it will be declined after some time and that you must provide a different payment method.

    Is it possible to cancel the pending payment ? if so, you can cancel it and order a new subscription on the new card.

    Hello, as a subscription, you need to add a permanent payment method to be debited each month. Even if you cancel the automatic renewal of this subscription, you will be asked to add a payment method.

    Thank you for your post. I understand you are experiencing an issue with a suspended Game Pass subscription. The subscription will continue to attempt to charge your card, if after a few tries if the subscription is not paid it will cancel. If you do not
    wish to continue your subscription, you can
    remove your payment method     on your account.

    Please go to https://account.microsoft.com/services/ and check your subscriptions.

    If the Gold membership shows a due amount of money, and the card for the Gold membership is cancelled, you need to add a new payment option first.

    Click on "Payment & Billing" and click on "Payment Options". There add your working credit card.

    Back on the Services page, you need to manage your Gold subscription. Change the payment method to the new working card, and pay the due amount if necessary.

    After the due amount is payed, you can cancel your Gold subscription.

    You can choose to cancel immediately, or cancel at the next renewal (so you are still golden for the paid amount of time).

    After the Gold membership has run out (either by cancelling immediately, or waiting after the cancelled renewal date), you can then remove your payment option.

    You would need to add a new valid payment method before removing the old one. If you call phone support to forcibly remove this payment method, it will cancel your LIVE subscription.
