    Good evening all,

    My GF offered me a new Xbox One S to my delight. I've been needing an excuse to drop computer gaming to "sofa gaming" and try something new, since I'm an avid PC player. So I took the new Xbox which brought a code for Xbox Game Pass
    Ultimate (the "ultimate" needs to be stressed). I played for the 3 months and stopped because I had to move into a new house and obviously my time was spent doing a lot of other stuff, not gaming

    Yesterday I wanted to go back into Xbox gaming so I decided to buy the Xbox Game Pass (not Ultimate) because I don't have a PC capable of running most of the games that interest me there (it's
    actually an old Macbook Air, I doubt it can even run anything aside from mobile like games). However, I can't do that. When my subscription on Ultimate ended, my credit card didn't have money to renew the subscription, which I didn't want anyway because I
    was moving to a new home. Now, my account is "frozen" unless I pay for 3 months of a service I don't even want. This makes no damn sense

    I contacted the support through chat and even they pointed me to the paragraph that mentions the payment/subscription renewal part (Number 9, paragrah D of ToS) and it clearly says that if you don't pay for a service you won't be able to use it unless you
    pay your debt. It doesn't say that you can't pay for
    another service and use it

    Also, I'm mandated to pay for 3 months although I just want to pay 1 month. How could this be a thing? I also have a recurring subscription on WoW and none of this happens. when time expires, I let it go and when I feel like returning I just add a new Credit
    Card and they take my money and I play for whatever time I want. how can Microsoft be this greedy?

    Can I even use it to anything else at this point? Any help is highly appreciated and sorry for the rant but this really got on my nerves

    Unfortunately, this is an issue with the manner in which Microsoft designed the Game Pass service. If you were subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate when you redeemed the twelve month Gold Subscription, your time was converted Game Pass Ultimate at a loss. A
    twelve month Gold subscription converts to four months of Game Pass Ultimate, which lines up with your renewal in February.

    Now that your Game Pass Ultimate subscription has expired, renewing with a prepaid subscription code for Xbox Live Gold will give you the standard amount of months.

    No, that was a promotion for upgrading to Game Pass Ultimate. What you need to do is renew your Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

    Keep in mind that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate includes Xbox Live Gold, Game Pass Console and Game Pass PC. So when your GP Ultimate subscription renews, that will keep you playing online. You'll be fine as long as that subscription payment goes through without

    Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have a question on subscription. In short yes, you can turn off the auto renew and it will not renew. However keep in mind if you currently have a gold subscription, the gold subscription will be converted
    to ultimate time. You can look over the
