Yes, I was helping my son set up his xbox account, (this one) about 10-15 mins ago. It offered a free 1 month subscription in which told me I needed to add my paypal in order for him to do so, for auto renew. It did so and then brought us to a page that
said under subscriptions he had gold and renewal was on 11-4-2014. My son checked his xbox, it wasn't showing up. He signed out on his xbox and signed back in it wasn't there. I refreshed the page the subscription disappeared from under subscriptions. I tried
signing out of his account on the website and signing back in still nothing. I tried looking everywhere. So then I tried to remove my paypal, as I didnt want it renewing and doing the same thing. I got a page up telling me I can't remove my paypal as subscriptions
are using it....what subscriptions? My son cant connect and everything is reading as if he doesnt have xbox gold.

I tried but because I have EA Access and Xbox Gold recurring it wont allow me to remove the card, which really sucks. It's still counting gold as a recurring subscription and says it'll charge my card $21.90 on the 5th or around that date, which was yesterday, even though I'm not a gold member as of now.

When you add a subscription via the website, there is a delay before the console will recognize it. To speed up the process, sign into your son's account on the console and try testing the connection. That should resync his information with the servers and
should show the gold.

If it doesn't you will need to contact support and speak to billing. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada or
support.xbox.com/contact-us

Also to add about the renewal. You cannot remove a payment method while it is attached to an active subscription. Once the subscription is up and running, you can turn off auto-renewal to keep it from renewing in the future. You would have to wait for the
subscription to end and your son revert to silver to remove Paypal.

Hey Scroull,

Thank you for reaching out. I understand you purchased a subscription but you are still unable to play online. I'd like for you to try performing a

power cycle on your console by doing the following:

Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button
on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.
Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.
Plug the console power cable back in.
Press the Xbox button
on your console to turn on the Xbox One.

If the issue persists, I'd like for you to try
removing and re-adding your account. Hope this helps!

The only way that this would be happening is if another account/profile has your xbox set as its home xbox and is sharing the gold with any other account on that console.

If the subscription shows, try the following steps

Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account since you will need them later)
Perform the manual power cycle steps as mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

Redownload your profile
