Subscription canceled when I deleted my mail address ?

Yes, you won´t be able to use the subscription anymore since it is exclusively tied to that email address. However you should cancel your subscriptions before closing your account

If you close your Microsoft account, there's a 30 or 60-day grace period (depending on the selection you made when closing) during which you can change your mind and reopen your account. After that grace period, your Microsoft account will be permanently deleted.

Reopen your Microsoft account

Go to account.microsoft.com and sign in.

You'll be asked to receive and enter a security code. After you enter the code, your account will be reopened. Subscriptions, profiles, and content that were on the account prior to closing will be available to you, including rewards points, Xbox profile gamertag, Gamerscore, and purchased content.

After that cancel your subcription, close your account once again if desired and then you should get a new subscription on your new account

Cancel this..I logged in using my current hotmail.com e-mail address and xbox CREATED a new account without really confirming anything...I forgot i'm using an ancient e-mail for my xbox live stuff. Thanks and you can delete this!

You can visit this page here to cancel your automatic renewal. The account will automatically stop
payment when your renewal date comes around. It's also not possible to delete an account, but you can certainly change the e-mail on the account if you wish to use the same e-mail address on another account.

I tried to cancel my Gold subscription today, but whenever I try to cancel it, it redirects me to a microsoft security page, and I have to enter a security code sent to another e-mail address. The problem is, that e-mail address doesn't exist anymore, so
I entered my Phone number instead for a text message. However, it takes 30 days to change all that due to security reasons. Because of that, I can't cancel my subscription. That means I have to pay for another month of Gold-membership because I have to wait
30 days to cancel it. I know Microsoft needs security but this is just ridiculous. please help, I am in Austraia so can't call the number above

First you have to delete your profile (but remember your e-mail address and password or it will be lossed) then you go to download profile and type in your e-mail address and password and everything will be restored. I just did it today when I formatted
