Subscribed To Xbox Gold But Cannot Get Free Gold Games

I have pre-ordered by Xbox One S console and currently do not own a console. However, to take advantage of a few games I wanted this month, I subscribed to Xbox Gold. When viewing my subscriptions in my Microsoft Account, it shows my Xbox Gold membership
as being active.

However, when logging into xbox.com and trying to purchase this month's free games, it almost seems like it doesn't acknowledge my gold status and asks me to pay for the game. Even when I click on the Xbox Gold link, it asks me to join eventhough I'm already
logged in and currently a Gold Member.

This issue is very similar to another issue I'm having where I cannot joint Xbox Rewards. It keeps asking me to join over and over again but never lets me join (separate topic/thread was posted about this issue).

Anyways, I do have a case # which is 1345854025, not sure if that helps but this is extremely frustrating. I'm a willing paying customer and want to start collecting games now so that when I do get my new console, we have a good library of games. There's
also a big sale coming up this week as well and cannot earn any rewards since I can't join.

I'm really hoping someone can help me resolve this issue along with my other issue ASAP.

X box gold

Just bought xbox gold and it even shows on my account. However i cannot do anything that comes with gold. Every time i do it tells me to buy x box gold. I thought it was a problem with the x box gold card, so i subscribed. Now it says Im subscribed, but
i still cannot do anything related to x box gold it still redirects me to buy gold.

As a subscribed gold member, why am I being charged to download the free gold game this month?

 

P.S - I tried all the customary troubleshooting tips like logging off, logging back in, trying in different browsers (Chrome, Edge, IE) etc... all the same result.

 

If this is the account you're trying to use, you don't show as having gold. Sometimes there can be a delay when you add gold via the website, so it may just be a matter of waiting a little longer (depending on how long it's been already). You may also want
to double check Sign in to your Microsoft account to make sure it shows a gold subscription on your account. If it still doesn't show as gold after about 24 hours, you'll want to contact support again.

As far as the rewards program, it does take about 96 hours for the program to recognize a new Live account. So if you haven't had the account that long yet, that might be part of the issue with signing up there.

 

It is showing up in the commerce/billing page of my account as Xbox Live Gold subscription but still no luck. I will give it more time as you suggested.

The issue with the live rewards was a weird one. I originally joined Xbox rewards in the US region by accident even though my account was Canadian. They told me leave the rewards program and rejoin after 48 hours. Unfortunately, it's been over a week and
I still can't rejoin. I click to join and it just keeps taking me to the join page again in a vicious cycle. Support is looking into it as part of another thread/post I have on here as well.

P.S - this is in fact the account. So confused as to why it wouldn't be showing up as gold. How are gamer tags associated with the Microsoft account? Wondering if there's something broken there.

 

The Microsoft account is just the email you use to sign into your gamertag.
