    Subscribed but not recognized


    Trialed the $1 for 1 month Xbox Live Gold, enjoyed the free games that released each month. Brought an official 3 month card from EB games, loaded up OK on profile. But Xbox Live Gold tile keeps asking me to purchase additional months, and not recognizing
    that I'm subscribed?

    Settings checked and subscription is active. Restarted numerous times. How to resolve this?

    my online profile shows gold subscribed but on console its not showing gold

    Xbox is failing on me

    Went into the site it says that i am not subscribed but I have renewed it

    you show as gold here on the forum....sign out of your profile , then back in...if still no , remove the account and then re add it....

    Thank you so much for the update and I apologize for the trouble. As mentioned earlier there are multiple reports in regard to the same issue and I myself am still waiting for an update from Microsoft through their social media pages and the Xbox support site.

    In the meantime, I reported this through the service alert page for Microsoft to be aware of.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    Just a friendly reminder though that there are multiple reports in regards to the same issue, however, there are no official announcements yet from Microsoft which means that we just need to perform troubleshooting steps.

    Please check if you can see the subscription as "active" with the correct renewal or expiration date.

    Once confirmed, repair and reset the Xbox App by following the steps below:

    Windows Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > Search for "Xbox" > Advanced Options > Repair > Reset > Restart your PC.

    Hi, and thank you for reaching out. I tried all the steps you mentioned but I still have the same problem. Here's some screens of what i'm encountering.

    As you can see my account is current until June.

    But when I log in to the desktop app I see this when i go to a game.

    Like I don't have a subscription, but the strange thing is, it WAS working, as you can see I have installed 3 games and even played them. When i click on the "play with game pass" button it takes me to the page to subscribe. When I click the button to subscribe I get this.

    I tried everything I can think of. I have uninstalled the app and re-installed twice. Wiped everything. reset everything. Still same thing.

    Can I cancel current ultimate game pass to add 2 years of gold and re-subscribe for the full 3 yrs of ultimate?

    The trial still counts as having had Ultimate, so the system won't recognize you has a new subscriber. I may be mis-wording it. New user is a better term.

    If the promotion you're referring to is the 2 months for $2 then it is for new subscribers.
    That would make free trials moot, if the system recognizes you as a subscriber for using free trials?

    I wish I could just talk to Xbox and get a straight answer about this.
