    Subnautica PC game not installing


    Hello there,

    I hope someone can assist me with an issue I have been experiencing installing Subnautica. I found the game on Microsoft Store, click the "Buy now" button, and get a dialog box saying I need to ask a parent for permission. I did this and my father approved
    and purchased the game.

    Now, if I go through this same process again, when I click on the button to "Ask now", I get a box that says, "It looks like your parent approved this. Check with them in a bit."

    Nothing further happens. I left my PC on overnight but nothing has been installed this morning.

    I don't know how to get this game installed! Any suggestions?

    Hello, Darren H. I'm Arturo, a community user like you, and I'll be glad to provide assistance with your inquiry today.

    If you purchased Subnautica from the Microsoft Store on your PC, you can retrieve the progress after installing the game on your Xbox.

    However, if you are playing the game through Steam, probably your progress will not carry over.

    Regarding the mods support, if Subnautica has an in-game marketplace for mods, you can install the mods from there, but if this game doesn't support mods by default. You will not be able to install them on Xbox because the game files are not accessible.

    Xbox play anywhere Not transferring to PC.

    The game I was having issues with was "Subnautica" Which seems to have worked on install before.

    I understand how this could be pretty frustrating. I would suggest trying the steps on our support page entitled Troubleshoot game installations on Windows 10.

    When you get a chance, try those out and let us know if that helped improve your installation problems.

    hi, no error codes, no menus. just that when i click on install nothing happens. recently i installed sea of thieves and just prior to that minecraft.. no problems with them and i have played them happily..i have checked admin tools for errors none ,i switched off firewalls and antivirus software no joy, i beleive the install link is dead and i am trying to get a sensible response from ms. you are the first to respond.

    • Are you facing any error codes or messages when trying to install the game?
    • Does the issue occur with all games or just only one game?
