    SUBNAUTICA IS NOT SAVING MY PROGRESS


    I've been playing subnautica for some months now and I've enjoyed every second of it until some days ago... The game is completely ignoring my saves and throws me back to an old save every time i close it.

    Some days ago, after playing for some hours i saved and closed the game as usual, next time i loaded In i noticed something weird, the little screenshot on the menu wasn't taken in the location i remembered when i last saved, and after loading it I got really disappointed to see that my progress was hours before the time i saved, lost about 2 hrs of gathering materials.

    I usually save every 10 minutes or so but the game just decided to ignore all my saves. At first i thought it was due to being in an advanced part of the game which i needed to complete exploring in order for the game to let me save (i was exploring an alien Facility) but sadly that wasn't the case, i continued playing and after closing and opening the game many times i managed to get a correct save back in my base but the issue persisted. Now the game is showing me an Xbox Sync error saying that one of my Xbox console is taking too long to sync, but i only play on PC, this message only shows sometimes, if i ignore it i can play again.

    At this point i think I've ran out of options, I've tried every possible solution that I've found on the internet and this sub but it doesn't matter what i do the game just ignores my savings and throws me back to my old save, I've even downloaded an autosave mod but apparently it only works with the steam version :/

    As far as i understand the saving files on the Gamepass version are Cloud-based and it only stores temporal data on your PC, but what i found weird is that when I click save and then go to the temp folder to check the file, it is actually there!, the miniature.jpg and the files correspond to the save I just made, but as soon as i close the game and open it again the temp folder with the correct data dissapears and my old save is back in the menu and eventually on the temp folder too repeating the "no save" cycle.

    I have no idea what to do to fix this, i don't want to lose my 50+ hrs world nor i have the money right now to buy the steam version and move my data to it so please if anyone knows a possible solution to this issue I would greatly appreciate it!!     Hello, Darren H. I'm Arturo, a community user like you, and I'll be glad to provide assistance with your inquiry today.

    If you purchased Subnautica from the Microsoft Store on your PC, you can retrieve the progress after installing the game on your Xbox.

    However, if you are playing the game through Steam, probably your progress will not carry over.

    Regarding the mods support, if Subnautica has an in-game marketplace for mods, you can install the mods from there, but if this game doesn't support mods by default. You will not be able to install them on Xbox because the game files are not accessible.

    The warning symbol means you don’t own the digital license of the game with this icon, or, you don’t have the disc inserted in case you own the game physically.

    Please be aware that some games like Outriders, and Subnautica, left the game pass library a couple of weeks ago in the case of Outriders and months ago for Subnautica. (In case you played those games via Game Pass)

    Moreover, it is important to clarify that your progress on those games is not lost.
    You can access to this progress as long as you decide to purchase the digital version or a physical copy of them.

    I think I added it as a trusted device the right way, it shows up in my account's devices, but I still don't have Subnautica, and even worse I lost every paid DLC I had for Destiny 2, I had all but one and now they're all gone, despite me keeping my game progress and items I gained from those DLCs
