Subnautica Does Not Install on Windows 10

Searching for that error code, a lot of results reference windows updates. maybe check your windows is up to date. An answer on Microsoft forums link to this fix as a potential solution.

I got the same problem with Subnautica and I had a question.

Did I need Windows 11 for playing Subnautica or Windows 10 is enought ?

Yesterday everythings was fine with this game and now I can't play. And I'm new on Windows so help will be thanksfull.

Subnautica is approximately 15GB when fully installed.

I'm afraid that the only solution left for us is to update your Windows 10. However, due to being a specific problem with Subnautica game, I would recommend getting in touch with the game developer for them to provide further solutions to this issue.

I took a second look at the Store and my personal is signed into it and I can install "Store native" games like Monster Legend and play them without issue. Oddly if I select an Xbox App game in the Store and pick install it brings up an Xbox app window which has my Game Pass recognized and I can install the game. It still has "sign in" for the Xbox profile section though.

I installed Subnautica and Eternal Return in this Xbox window and have issues after launching them. Subnautica says cannot save and Eternal Return says login failed. Also I forgot to mention this earlier but I cannot sign into the Xbox Game Bar either.I will file a bug report, if this is intentional behavior it is very odd.
