Hello everyone,

I hope this post finds you well. I'm in a bit of a jam and could use some assistance. Here's the situation:

I recently reset my PC to clean it up and start fresh. Everything went smoothly until I noticed that the Xbox app, which usually comes pre-installed, didn't include options for Game Pass and Cloud Gaming. In an attempt to resolve this, I decided to uninstall and reinstall the Xbox client.

However, I've encountered a persistent issue. The installation process gets stuck at downloading (1%) and doesn't progress any further, even after leaving it for hours. I've tried multiple solutions found on various forums, including troubleshooting steps, but none have provided a resolution.

Just to provide more context:

I've restarted my PC multiple times.

Internet connectivity is not an issue; I can browse and download other files without any problems.

All Windows updates are up to date. (Windows 11)

I'm reaching out to the community in the hope that someone might have encountered a similar problem or has insights into how to resolve this issue. If you've experienced this before or have any suggestions, please share them! Your help is greatly appreciated.

Can you try installing the Xbox app by downloading it from here?

However, if the app can't be installed in that way as well. Please try these other potential solutions:

A.
Press the Windows key + R key to open the Run window > type wsreset.exe > wait until the store opens automatically.
Restart your PC and try downloading the Xbox app.

B.
Right-click on the Windows button and select PowerShell (administrator)

Then, run the following command: (you may want to copy and paste the entire command)

Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register "$($_. InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml"}.

This command can take a while to end, but when the process ends, you should be able to type in the PowerShell window.

After that, please restart your computer and try downloading the Xbox app.

Thank you for your invaluable advice! Following option B indeed worked like a charm, and I successfully reinstalled the Xbox app on my system.

I discovered that my Windows region was inexplicably changed to unsupported region. I overlooked this step because I was confident that I had set the correct region.

To find your product key sign in to games for windows marketplace client
Click downloads
Under all downloads click the game you need the key fo
Click view game key

Hey there, dragooon3zero! You will need to download everything through the Games for Windows Live client.

That being said, I can possibly help you with your error. What's the exact error you're receiving when you try to log into the client? We can start from there and get into some deeper errors if need be.

You'd need to contact Steam about download issues with their client not finishing downloads

You'll need to update the game internally once it starts.
