Stylus on tablet stopped working for mines and flags on last update

Stylus on tablet stopped working for mines and flags on last update Sept.15 2014. I reinstalled Minesweeper and restarted Surface 2 tablet. Using Windows 8.1 Pro version 6.3(build 9600)

playing with stylus: hover incorrectly seen as touch.

i'm playing this game on a surface pro tablet, using either the included stylus or a samsung note stylus.

cards start moving the moment the stylus comes near the screen, but they shouldn't respond until i actually touch the screen.

this is clearly a problem with the game and not the stylus.

i've tried the included stylus, a standard samsung note 2 stylus, and an aftermarket samsung note 10.1 stylus.

only the cards respond incorrectly, on-screen buttons and other apps/games only respond when the stylus touches the screen.

if i tap the screen with the stylus it will temporarily fix the problem, but if i lift the stylus more than 2CM from the screen it comes back.

can this be fixed?

playing as if my stylus is a magic wand is fun for a while, but it gets tedious after playing a few games without touching the screen.

Stylus pen does not working on Tiles, but working on other menus.

I'm having the same issue with my Surface Pro v1. My pen isn't working. I would love to see an update to fix this soon.

 

It's not the hardware or OS, I'm having the same problem with Windows 8.1 Pro on a Surface 3. As stated by someone else here, the menus respond to the stylus but indicating clear zones or bombs doesn't work (at least not with the stylus). I just noticed
the problem but haven't been playing for a few days.

 

Forgot to mention that Touch Screen function still works with finger- just not with pen for "tiles".

 

I too have not been able to use my stylus to flag/set off mines. I play minesweeper nearly everyday and this started when minesweeper upgraded and changed how you earn metals among other changes.

 

I'm also having this problem on a surface pro 2.

Add one more. My stylus stopped working on the minesweeper game board. Finger taps still work. The stylus works everywhere else. Looking forward to the fix! Miss the stylus in Minesweeper!

 

Ditto - minesweeper adventure stopped responding to stylus in the game board on Surface Pro 2. The stylus works everywhere else I try it, and finger touch still works in the game board. I'm glad to read it's being worked on - finger touch is really awkward
on a tight minesweeper board.

 

Have you tried using Swipe to Flag? I never use the stylus in Minesweeper as I find this works absolutely fantastically. You may need to pinch to zoom to make the board fill the screen initially (A rather annoying bug IMO), but once you've done that, swipe
to flag is easier and quicker than a stylus IMO.

 

Same here. The stylus worked when I first downloaded mine sweeper but has not worked since about September sometime. Only on the game board itself. It works on any menus, settings, etch.
