Stuttering video using Hauppauge TV tuner on XBOX Once

Same problem here, only just got my Xbox so don't know if it was ok before. Seems to be just on Fox for me too.... Weirdly it only seems to happen running full screen - fine when running in a window, so I'm guessing it's a performance/optimization issue
with scaling to 1080p from the native input of 720p.

 

After using a HomeWorx Media Player I switched to the Hauppauge to clear out the extra peripheral. So far so good but I too have noticed the stuttering. It clears when you pause video (even for a few seconds) and the other thing which helps is to "Quit"
other applications. Hit the menu button and Quit other games or apps which are still running.,

This points to a processing issue. The good news is that its probably correctable.

The only thing I miss is the lack of "signal strength" meter. That would be very helpful!

 

I have the same exact problem and is driving me crazy!

 

I see it on channel 23 , 43 and 45. The rest of my channels are fine and these channels are fine on other TV and if I connect the runner to my laptop they are fine. Something is up with the firmware.

 

I looked into what each of my local channels broadcast in. The channels that are the worst for me broadcast in 720p. Does anybody else have a lot of stutter with 720p channels as well? The 1080i channels have stutter as well, but no where near as bad as
the 2 720p channels (I do not watch the 3rd 720p channel much so I cannot confirm this).

Has anybody tried "Restore factory defaults?"

I do not have the time to try this myself. Having 5 month old twins takes up a lot of my time.

Just read where someone else is having the opposite problem. 720p channels are fine and 1080i channels stutter.

 

I just bought the Mohu/Hauppauge combo and I'm having this problem. If I connect the antenna directly to the tv, the channels come clear and don't stutter. But if I connect to the Hauppauge and Xbox, they stutter and pixelate or plainly lose the signal.

Has anyone contacted support or heard from MS on this issue? I just bought mine, so if this hasn't been resolved for this long or offered a solution I might just return mine and keep the antenna plugged directly to my TV.

 

Just wanted to chime in and say I'm also having the issue. I hope Microsoft acknowledges this and fixes it...

 

It's happened with me ever since the 'New Xbox Experience' on the Hauppauge tuner. Stutters constantly on FOX and intermittently on PBS in the KC area. Drives me crazy; I can't watch it.

5.1 surround also hasn't worked since the update.

 

I am having the exact same problem. I bought to watch local fox channel since Dish is battling with them, and get significant stuttering. Signal has been ruled out as the issue.
