Stuttering/Popping Noise When Using Headphones

Every time I start my xbox and use headphones I get a consistent popping sound that ranges from occurring once every 1-10 seconds. Its making games unplayable, movies I've downloaded unwatchable, really looking for a solution.

This has happened on my previous xbox one S and now on my xbox one X, both on elite controller and standard controller when using headphones.

I've tried to alternate the Mac address, hard reset the console and power cycle... nothing works.

I've noticed there has been plenty of other people experiencing the same issue, does anybody have a solution. This is infuriating!

Loud white/static noise from Xbox Elite Controller 3.5mm jack

I am using Windows 10, the elite controller is connected via the Xbox wireless adapter/ USB cable. The headphones that I am using: audio technica ath-im70, I have also try other headphones, the same problem persists. The problem is as follows, when controller
is off I plug in headphones, no white/static noise, the noise starts when controller finish connecting with the wireless adapter or via USB cable. Any solutions?

 

3.5 mm port problem

Here is the weird thing though, when I plug in my apple headphones, it makes that pop noise. Like whenever you plug it in and you hear the noise go through the headphones.

 

Try performing a hard reset EXACTLY like this.

Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

If that doesn't help try using a different headset to see if the problem may be with the headset itself.
