  1. Stuttering/Frametime issues with my CPU in only 1 game

Hi. I've had an issue come up with only 1 game, Roblox, where the game stutters like crazy. Looking at the performance graph I see my CPU frametime spike from 16ms to 1600ms+.

What I find especially strange, is that it doesn't happen on the Microsoft Store version of the application (which yes, could be a solution, but it's been abandoned and is extremely buggy to the point where it's unusable)
Secondly, this doesn't happen on any other game I play. Only Roblox, and it's narrowed down to be a CPU frametime issue. The other games I play are much more intensive than Roblox as well, which ranges from various VR games as well as AAA flatscreen games, and it doesn't happen there whatsoever.

    Some things I tried:

    - Uninstalling and reinstalling (including AppData folders)
    - Performing a clean GPU driver install w/ DDU
    - Use the max performance power plan
    - Clean Windows install
    - Tweaking NVidia control panel settings

    Specs:
    - i7 8700
    - RTX 2060
    - 16GB RAM
    - Windows 11 Pro 22H2

Note that this only started occurring in September.
I've contacted Roblox about this and they are useless by giving me potential fixes that have nothing to do with my CPU in the first place, even if requested to do so.

I'm hoping to get this issue resolved.

    Thanks!

Stuttering/Frametime issues with my CPU in only 1 game

    Hello ,

Good to see you in Microsoft Community.

Firstly, could you let me know the specific system version (OS Build)? You can check it by pressing Win + X > System > Windows specifications, click “Copy” and paste it in your next reply.

Then please check the basic hardware information of your device. Win + Q to open the search box, type “msinfo32”, then open “System Information”, please take a screenshot of it and attach it to your next reply.

Did this occur recently, or has it been going on for a while? If it was recent, did you have any special actions (such as installing system updates, hardware changes, etc.) before that?

You can follow the steps below:

    1. You may Perform a clean boot (microsoft.com) to see if it is normal, this is a troubleshooting step. In this mode, we can further confirm whether it is caused by system problem or third-party software or personalized settings. So, please be patient.

Disclaimer: A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background program is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by-step so that it will help you get you back on track.
    2. Meanwhile, you may create a new local account to see if it is normal. This approach is taken because it's possible that the configuration of your current user account itself is causing the anomaly, leading to the problem.
      • Create a local user account
      1. Select Start > Settings > Accounts and then select Family & other users. (In some versions of Windows you'll see Other users.)
      2. Next to Add other user, select Add account.
      3. Select I don't have this person's sign-in information, and on the next page, select Add a user without a Microsoft account.
      4. Enter a username, password, or password hint—or choose security questions—and then select Next.
      • Change a local user account to an administrator account
      1. Select Start > Settings > Accounts.
      2. Under Family & other users, select the account owner name (you should see "Local account" below the name), then select Change account type.
      3. Note: If you choose an account that shows an email address or doesn't say "Local account", then you're giving administrator permissions to a Microsoft account, not a local account.
      4. Under Account type, select Administrator, and then select OK.
      5. Sign in with the new administrator account.

Visit Create a local user or administrator account in Windows - Microsoft Support for more details.

Note: If the new account is normal, please do not delete the old account before backing up the data of the old account to avoid any data loss.

If anything is unclear, please do not hesitate to let me know.

    Best Regards,

Choppy/ Blur feel on series x?

Hey, yeah its really a bummer for sure when you consider the challenge it was even getting the console in the first place my series x is literally just sitting in my closet because of this problem I was never eye sensitive but my gosh the heavy judder is unbearable especially in a fps game or a locked 60 game. I actually bought a computer with a red devil 6700xt and this whole system has been nothing but stuttering/massive frametime spikes guess im just really unlucky. Really hoping xbox addresses this glad I'm not the only one with this exact problem.

Flight Simulator FPS Drops / Stuttering...Video evidence provided.

I have been playing some more as well...I've also been keeping my eyes on the benchmark test (MSI Afterburner Overlay). Both my CPU and GPU average around 70-75 degrees celsius (don't think those temps are anything to worry about on a graphically intensive
game) and the FPS averages around 70ish when the game isn't stuttering...and this is on the High-End settings on my RTX 2070 8GB, i7 9700KF, and 16GB RAM.

Game often seems to stutter on the prologue before a training mission (you know that screen where it shows you your plane and prompts you to press to start the mission...that screen). At the very start of a training mission it will stutter for a bit then
it will promptly go back to normal. I am pleased to say I've enjoyed a few training flights mostly stutter free except for one or 2 mid-flight incidents like the one in the video I put in my original post...the rest have mostly been on the prologue screen/very
    start of each mission.

Whenever it does stutter I notice the CPU suddenly goes up to 100% usage...when the stutter ends it goes back down. So whatever is causing the stutter sounds to me like some sort of rogue process/memory leak maybe? Idk...whatever is causing it is a sudden
    spike in CPU usage anyway.

I hope they fix it with an update.

    Games not using GPU

My CPU is a Ryzen 5 3600 and while I understand that the 2060 is not a high end GPU, when I was using the 580 starfield at least used the GPU. It maxed it out and had some stuttering issues, but it was at least being used. Now with the 2060, games that had previously used my GPU are no longer doing so. In task manager under GPU Engine, it keeps saying GPU 0 - Copy instead of GPU 0 - 3D for the games I mentioned above and the CPU is being used instead.

Forza Horizon 4 rendering on CPU when it wasn't before

    Hey

I have reinstalled my game, the stuttering is gone and the game is now perfectly playable, but my it's still rendering on CPU, but i will call this problem fixed, because it plays normal and that's enough for me.

Thanks all of you for your help!
