    Stupid enough to plug in an US Xbox One in Europe. Broken?


    As the title says, I plugged in an US Xbox in Europe (Norway). The power in the house shut down for a few seconds. Is it probably broken or is it just the power supply that died? I consider buying an European power supply, but that's
    no point if it's already broken.

    You will have mainly two issues.

    1. yes the PAL thing. you would need to import your games from the us. Buying a game in Europe will not work on that console. You might also have issues with the content on the console (DLC ect.)\

    -

    2. Power supply. The wattage in the us is different than in Europe. If you were to plug a us console and power supply in in Europe, the console would fry. You would need to get a Xbox power supply made for use in Europe. The console end of the the power
    supply would be the same but the wall plug would be different

    yes there's a power-brick with Xbox it just makes it easier to produce for each region, different plug sockets in europe, england has a different one, us has a different one etc.

    Plus rumours are playstation4 will probably overheat so I look forward to that

    The console is multi-voltage, all you need is an adaptor for the plug or the cable for the one sold in Europe. There maybe some region differences for downloading digital games again when you change your account region from Europe to the U.S. But from plugging in, everything will work fine.

    It is beyond ridiculous how broken this stupid account recovery form is as all it says is that there's not enough details and I guarantee that thousands upon thousands of people have lost their accounts via this stupid reason.



    Furthermore I have looked across this site and have seen that my issue is a very prominent one in addition to many other users having the same problem
