Stunning Demo - No Value for Money

If you want to play this demo (it is a 1 level demo really) chip in with your mates and buy the Disc version so you can all have a go as it's not IMHO worth the purchase price.

I thought it was going to be one of those, lets show the credits after scene 1 type deals but the game was over for me.

Unlocked some side missions but was really disappointed to get to grips with the game only to realise that was it finished.



£10 at the most should have been the price, £5 would be better

Yea they are. Old Blood is ridiculously good value for money, and plays flawlessly and looks stunning! Other Devs should take note. Hope you enjoy em!

 

Value for Money?

Of course they're worth it. I wouldn't be buying so many games if it wasn't.

 

Is that $40 in US dollars? Because that is what they have it listed as.

Ground zeroes was worth the money people. First its metal gear solid that is one of the best gaming series ever created. second it is showcasing the fox engine which is by far the most amazing graphics engine out right now! Yes it is short though there is
a ton of replay value! Please be thankful!

 

I have to agree about the Fox engine it's stunning.

Still not of the opinion it's worth £25 but thats just my opinion

 

Thankfully this all means that the people who don't go for the MGS style of replayability (sp?..even a word!) take it to trade in and I picked up my used disc copy for £17.50. The game is great in my opinion and I can't wait for Phantom pain which is supposed
to be over 200 times bigger. Not sure what Hideo is measuring but sounds good.

 

I have to say sorry guys as I can see that you could replay these missions a lot more than most linear type walkthrough games.

Getting my moneys worth now as can't beat the side missions LOL. A lot to learn before The Phantom Pain. I can see it being Game of the Year whenever it comes out.

 

best thing to tell new mgs players is take your time. unless the mission is timed take your time and survey the field before making a move.

Just bought this game on the Xbox Games sale; totally worth the 10 bucks I paid, but not the 30 bucks I'd have to pay AGAIN to get it on the One so Snakes shoulder isn't clipping through Chico. Tons of replay for diehard MGS fans like myself, but feels rather
empty for anyone else new to the series. REALLY wish they'd make the license register that I bought it on the One, I'm not buying the same game twice. Other than that, for 10 bucks right now, seems a fair, not great, but fair price.

 

i think you are missing the point to this game, it is set in a POW camp. a highly detailed fully living camp. there are about 7 missions with 2 levels of difficulty each with sub missions and targets. sure i can run through the ground zeroes level in 20
mins but the joy of this game is perfecting every mission and collecting all the trial records.

its an amazing game that you can play again and again until you perfect it

 

I'll probably get it when its $5 or $10 used.

 

I paid the full price for this game and didn't regret it a bit. If your a MGS fan, no doubts about it you will love it. I have seen it go on sale a number of times as well so keep an eye on your dashboard. If you can grab it cheap all the more reason to
give it a go. I cannot wait for Phantom pain, I plan to spend a good chunk of time on that one. Speaking of Demos, anyone else play the demo on the psone over an over again?
