Stuck syncing data. Can't play Fallout 4

Yes I too am having syncing issue with fall out 4. I just deleted local saves, including the 4kb file whil going offline. I am now syncing again. It got to 99%. It went back to game splash screen no status bar, I looked at game mange,net screen, no saves
from the cloud, went back, dat sync and pulse are now back, but no status bar nor percentage.. Been 30mins at least so far. Looked at quite a few threads on this. I have to say I am not impressed with level of input and lack of support from MS. If save games
is not relliable, even with a cloud based architecture then you just cannot use it. My issue started after installing Disney infinity 3.0 / adding another new profile for this game. Anyone made any progress on this?

 

Update on this. I just left it in the state as per above, after the 99%, after just the pips, had shower came back and the in game menu was on the screen with the very welcome load and continue options I checked my saves, remeber I deleted from local console
only, not from the cloud and they were restored. Sync completed. Rule of thumb. Keep the console alive, ping the controller sticks once in a wile, don't let it shut off. If you get the blank game screen with no menu, hit the Xbox button, if it is unresponsive,
wait, eventually menu will come up, and when you go back most likely the sync bar will be back. The name of the game here is patience and assume that it is doing something even when it looks like it is not. Don't just shut down and start again, most likely
this action will clear any sync coach and you will have to start over

 

One more point. I deleted many of the old saves. I now only have about 10 saves, around 80M as supposed to earlier with over 800M. So if sync needed in future it will take much less time. Manage the saves, don't keep adding new without deleting old.

 

So, I noticed an odd thing today when playing for the first time (my home burned down December 4, so I'm only just getting back to playing.) I went to manually save my game and was surprised to see I already had 5 save games, one for each autosave. It appears
when Fallout 4 autosaves, instead of replacing the last autosave it makes a brand new save every single time.

If you're successful with the above steps and it finally syncs for you, go into your game saves within the game. I'm wondering if this super-long sync is happening because of the sheer volume of game saves? With this "new save for every autosave" behavior,
it seems like it wouldn't take very long before you rack up hundreds of separate save files, I would think the sync process would take longer the more saves you have.

If you delete game saves within the game (not from the console's manage game menu) it should delete from the cloud as well, and personally I'd go with no more than 10-15 saves, which should cut down sync time. Can someone try this? Check your saves if you
have a high sync time and delete most of your autosaves etc. to a more manageable level, then quit and reload to see if the sync goes faster.

Wow, I'm not alone. After getting the error unable to save data, I deleted local saves. After 4 hours, I'm at 61%. Sadly, this is my second try. I didn't realize you must babysit the controller. Unfortunately, having 25% of frees space and being use
to app code version control, I had many saves...

Recommendation to Microsoft (I'm pretending their listening): Implement one or more of the following options:

1) retains last @number saves

2) delete saves older that @date

3) allow option to delete some saves

This would reduce cloud, local disc, and bandwidth volume - along with reducing Xbox One system problems.

 

Also having this problem, none of the solutions have helped. It began when I added another profile to my One for my family, have not tested on any other games. Solution would be appreciated...

 

At 99% and waiting. 30 mins so far...

 

Finally done it. This is what I did.

Removed account

Cleared persistent storage

Cleared alternate MAC address

Restart

Add account

Start game

The"syncing" message came up again. Left it while keeping it alive (occasionally flicking analogue stick). Eventually percentage appeared. Took about an hour from this point. Kept alive using analogue stick. Spent about half an hour waiting at 99%. Then
syncing message went away and after 10 seconds F4 menu appeared. Save games ok.

 

I am having this issue as also. I'm so disappointed with microsoft and the xbox one because of this. I have no choice but to play this game with mu console offline. I have also noticed other games will not let me save progress if I'm not connected to
the cloud. I remember microsoft wanted to xbox one to be an online only console and it loks like they have achieved this. From this point only I will no longer be purchasing any more xbox one games because I can't relay on the console to work worry free.
If it was not for my kid playing dance central (this game will not save progress unless you are on "the coud") I would trade in my xbox one for more PS4 games. Keep up the great work microsoft.

 

I can't sync data for none of my games or apps I have to play offline for everything I have called Microsoft and even my provider and no one has a answer but I seen people saying it is the Internet provider that's not compatible with the windows 10 update
on xbox one

 

Imsick of this been dealing with this for 4 days now n no one has a clue how to fix this. Love the game but at this point I'm bout to ask for my money back as I can't play it I spend more time syncing and talking to support than I do anything. I start a
new char and find I can't save it so what's the point today will be the last as either it works or I get my money back n fallout loses me for good cause I'm not gonna synch more time than play time every time I want to play.

 

I'm having this issue as well I tried the suggestions above and now its got number before it was just the bar so hopefully this fixes it

 

I'm having this exact problem with Fallout 4. All suggestions aren't working. I'm at a complete loss for what to do next. Anyone come up with any other ideas? Any patches coming out or anything?

 

Im noticing that this is happening to a lot of people after they created a new profile, wich is the same for me, it happened after i created a profile for my brother so we could play shadows of evil, wich is strange because from what i remember there was
a way to but the second controller as a guest which would make it have the name of the your profile but with a (1) at the end, but that option didnt appear for me so we created another profile.
