Stuck syncing data. Can't play Fallout 4

For the past couple of days, if I try to play Fallout 4, I just get a "syncing data for Fallout 4" message that pops up. I never get a percentage of progress or anything, it just plays the little bar animation and never ends. If I try to cancel and play
without syncing, I'm missing about 2-3 days worth of save files equating to a whole lot of game progress.

I've tried resetting my modem and router, hard resetting the console, uninstalling and reinstalling the game, and removing and re-adding my gamer profile. Nothing has fixed my problem. What am I supposed to do?

Even if I just played without syncing and started playing Fallout with my many hours of missed saves, I still have this syncing issue that will come up every time I play.

Sync cloud data not working again and again....

I am having sync problems with Fallout 4. Every time I want to play I get syncing data for Fallout 4. On Saturday when it did this it took 3-4 hrs. All these problems started after my xbox one did an update

I recommend letting it finish syncing normally. When I upgraded to a new Xbox One and popped in Fallout 4 it took a couple of hours to resync. The reason it takes longer is because of the number of save files. The more you have the longer it takes.

 

Hey there! First, check for a system update (Settings, System, Console info and updates). If you have one, update and see if it helps, but if not, open the guide, go down to Settings, Turn off console. Unplug the power cord from the back for 5 minutes, and
then try again.

In addition to Ken's suggestion, I would suggest also highlighting the game, pressing Menu, then scrolling to "manage." In here, if you go to the right, you will see the saved games. If you highlight that and press menu, you should be able to choose to delete
the saves, which will ask you if you want to delete from Everywhere or Console Only. Be sure to choose Console Only, as this will force your console to redownload your save games from the cloud.

Since it has lost several days' progress playing offline, that sounds to me like a recent save is corrupted and can't resync with the cloud. I recently had a similar problem with Dragon Age - it wasn't freezing on Sync, but it was resyncing every time I
started which is odd, and the most recent two saves would freeze on loading. Deleting the local saves forced them to resync and work perfectly!

I had this exact issue happen to me the other day. My fix was kind of like what Ken suggested, but i had to put my console offline before hard booting to get it to work, as a regular hard boot didn't work

So if what he has suggested doesn't work, this is what I did to get mine working:

Go to settings, and then to network settings.

Hit the 'go offline' button

Then go back to dashboard, hold down the power button on the front of the console for 10seconds until it switches off. Then leave it for a minute or two, before turning it back on.

Then go back online, start up Fallout and you should be ready to go

Worked for me, so hopefully will work for you too

I tried everything suggested here. I checked system updates, and my console is up to date. I deleted local data (even though it was already deleted when I reinstalled my profile).

I set the console to offline, did a hard reset and unplugged it for over 5min, still no luck.

 

I let the game sync for about 4 hours and it finally synced and got my saves. However, trying to play it the next day and I'm running into the syncing problem again. This is absolutely ridiculous. I don't want to have to do this for 4 hours every time I
want to play a game.

 

I'm having the same problem. I spent two plus hours on the phone with ms support l and they had no answer. I've tried every suggestion I could find and multiple combinations of each but to no avail it just won't sync. I went as far as resetting to factory
and reinstalling fo4- nope, no help. I sat for six hours and baby sat the controller while the sync meter finally hit 98% then waited another hour only to see that it progressed no further. I pay a premium for top end bandwidth and have a business connection
with a fixed IP that is a smoking fast 100 mbs so speed is not my problem either. I've stopped the sync and started a new game and that won't sync either. I packed up my box and went to my buddies house who uses a different isp - you guessed it, no help.

As I write this post the sync meter is at 40% and slowly rising. My final attempt will be to wait for the meter to hit 100% or until fallout 5 is released, whichever comes first.

Whatever has gone wrong doesn't appear to be fixable at my end and ms doesn't currently seem to know what to do.

 

Same issue here, Fallout 4 just sits a syncing data. I've tried all of the suggestions as well, the last being deleting the local saves. I didn't experience this issue until I added another profile to the xbox for the kids. After that, all bets were off
and Fallout 4 was never the same. Really sux.

 

ogoshi11 make sure your signed in to your own profile, I had this problem going off line reboot back on line worked for some the latest update seems to of fixed it.

 

same problem for me just staring at a never ending syncing data with nothing else happening. tried most of the suggestions multiple times but just the same result every *** time....... I even checked my computer and several other games to make sure it wasn't
something wrong with my stuff but everything else works perfectly fine. Tried playing without syncing but I guess I have no save files which makes no *** since at all I should have something on my system yet I don't....

 

I haven't played since the first patch update was added. My game worked perfectly fine last time I played so I just don't understand at all

 

After deleting the local saves, I let the game sync over night. Response has improved, but game still takes about 10 - 15min to sync every time. Not ideal to say the least, but at least my data is not wiped.

Having the same problem... Tried to reinstall the game, switched "Instant logging" off, Still. Sync takes ages (persumably. Haven't finished any) Don't want to lose my saves. Halp me... Please!
